Fallout 4 DLC: What WE want.

Post » Tue Feb 23, 2016 6:06 am

Well, modders can't do story addons as good as Bethesda does... with all the voice acting, scripting and the new locations and items alltogether.

Bethesda has all the time to create content before the game gets released... there is really no need to sell minor things such as weapons for money, after we've already payed for the main game.

There are enough companies that abuse their customers that way, instead of selling 'real' addons.

I'm just sharing my own opinion :D

I can totally see why many others want something else than I do.

And even if I were a console user... I still don't think I would pay money for armor or weapons itself.

I don't think micro-transactions belong into full-priced games.

That's fine and I totally respect your reasonings here, but there are people who, like myself, would pay $5 for a 20+ weapons pack, Armor Pack, Clothing Pack and what have you because we feel it would add to the combat gameplay and role-playing of the game...in the sense of dressing up with different outfits.

To me there needs to be a healthy balance between these types of dlc and story based expansions, leaving everything to the modders in my opinion is simply laziness on the developers and comes off worse than just making them and selling it with money.

Video Game industry is a business people are trying to do a job, get paid for it and support their families, kids or themselves. So i find it acceptable practice to do AS LONG as it's done right.

BUT, that doesn't mean i wouldn't mind them being free dlc or apart of a big expansion i just don't think we'll be getting a ton of new weapons clothing, armor in the harbor dlc that would make me happy at least. After Skyrim debacle I want dozens of new outfits and such.

I don't care if they do this in a DLC or free patch but I would love it if they added in actual purposes to being the leader of factions. It could potentially be simple to implement. Turn everyone in the faction into a follower so thqt you could have them do things for you and even add in new tasks. We could be the one giving out endless fetch quests lol.

I wanna be able to paint everything like walls, floors, power armor etc. Maybe give us the option to color different clothes as well. Would love a black and gold vault suit. ^_^

There's a mod for that. Still waiting for a helicopter mod.

. I agree, more hot rods and picket fence magazines hopefully in the far harbor DLC, and you should be able to dye your clothes like you can in almost every other game

i propose a revisit to the slave idea back in fallout 3 that you can start a slave trade route and settlements can become camps and trading hubs and the player can build their own faction of slavers or something

I might make an evil character for the workshop dlc, so I would need to be able to collect them. Do they come off in the mod?

. I thin the idea of owning slaves in fallout would hit a personal level for some of the players

Isn't the whole central point about this game is about toasters being treated as slaves? I don't use slave feature, so I don't really get the appeal in the older games.

Some mods are polished and community friendly. Those that are usually take time. There is a lot of chaff to sort through in order to find the wheat.

I would like to see an expansion into the Cabot story.. but that would require making a trip to Arabia... which wouldn't make much sense.

However, I do agree with the idea of revisiting old memories of my family. Give a better background. Would be nice to have dialog options in it as well to sort of... "flesh out" your characters past.

Most of what I would like to see is more story. More Vaults would be amazing!! I love finding out about what went on in the vaults. Heck, it would be even better if you could take over a vault and create a settlement, sort of like Vault 81.

I hope we get a story focuses on companions to be honest. I want to know what happens to MacCready's son, maybe a heart warming scene between Piper and her sis, Danse's story finally getting a closure, Strong finding milk of human's kindness (taste like piss), Cait and her manager. I hope they work it in with a big DLC.

An underwater lab similar to the film Deep Blue sea, only more twisted. A prewar lab where scientists were working on genetic manipulation of sea life and trying to weaponize it.

I hope for an extension of the main quest, just like they did with FO3. Extend for all factions, throw in a few good side quests as well.

Those people would just have to deal with it. Slavery is a thing in the Fallout universe and you should be allowed to roleplay as a terrible person if you want to.

They could add a mainland story DLC where we either fight the slavers or join them. I'd be fine with that - I think the idea is, though, that the Commonwealth actually isn't as messed up as places like the Capital Wasteland or the Pitt. Hopefully some of the new places we visit will be seriously messed up, though.

I want a DLC about the Super Mutants.

Spoiler
A little more background on what the Institute's goals were with the FEV.

Getting another insane Super Mutant leader that organizes the uglies might be cool, too, depending on how they do it.

Rather small thing, but I'd like to see an Alien rifle type weapon to go along with the current pistol type Alien weapon in the game already.

Along with mod for it that speeds up the projectiles to match the speed of ones from Plasma weapons. The projectiles from the Alien Blaster are painfully slow.

Thing I really want to see the most is an expansion of the main factions. The ending to all of them left me going "That was it?". Especially the Institute's.

I want:

- New areas to explore, filled by interesting quests, deep problems and unique items;

- Changes in the basic game (patches), new dialogue system, new quests and new RPG elements.

And the game would be at least accetable.

Far Harbor fits my definition of a good DLC, but it needs way better writing and more ways to solve quests' problems than it was in Fallout 4 base game. I am sure the area will be very interesting to explore though, Bethesda can provide it. Im not exited but I will give it a try to check out if Bethesda learns on its mistakes.
