Fallout 4 doesn't have many different enemies..

No tunnelers, lakelurks, geckos, spore carriers, centaurs, ghost people, mantises, ants, cazadors and only one alien you can find in the entire game with only one alien weapon?

Are you disappointed about the lack of variety of enemies in Fallout 4? I sure am. It's repetitive. You're always fighting the same kind of enemies in the world.

Yep. Very tired of the raider filled wasteland sadly. Animal enemies are better at least.

Well, some of those enemies you named are actually DLC, so that's not fair.

Also, the Mirelurks are basically the replacement of Lakelurks, only that there are a number of different Mirelurks in this game that are quite different from one another. Both in their attacks and drastically their looks. So the Mirelurks of Fallout 4 are far more creative than some Lakelurk re-skin of Mirelurk Kings.

Centaurs have been replaced as Super Mutant companions by the Mutant Hounds. I admit not as engaging of an enemy as the Centaurs were since they're just dogs, but even still, the same role.

Cazadors have been replaced by Stingwings and Blood Bugs, and are almost as equally deadly with their poison.

Other new enemies include the Assaultrons and Synths. Can't think of anything else at the moment as I'm not too far into the game. We should also consider the amount of returning enemies that have changed quite a bit in design compared to their predecessor counterparts. Deathclaws in Fallout 4 are almost their own boss compared to the common push overs of FO3. Feral Ghouls are quite different as well with how they stumble around dodging shots and surprise attack their foes. And Sentry Bots are rolling tanks of robotic death than ever before.

With that said, I'd say there is a good variety of enemies in the game and improved enemy types that have returned.

That's like asking will there be new content in DLC.

Although, one of the DLCs could be another small $5 DLC similar to Hearthfire for all we know. In which, I hope that is not the case.

They do have mutant deer now too, along with synths, mosquitoes and mirelurk hatchlings. They also have changed how most, if not all enemies react now. Radscorpions and mole rats burrowing, humanoids actually using cover, ghouls crawling out of holes or just getting up like a corpse. Most animals have glowing variants like "Glowing Ones" ghouls. There's legendary types with special gear on them. Enemies have had a heck of a lot of changes made to them and I'm sure more will be added in the future.
