Curious how many on their first play-through will go for Good, Bad, or Neutral?

Good. I always play good first.

And then I intend to play bad on a subsequent playthrough, but I never do, I always stay good :P

Voted neutral.

My character will start good. He will be a special forces vet that comes out thinking that people would have banded back together to rebuild the nation he loved and faught for. But he will slowly arch into becoming the cold wonderer because if there is anything that the wastes have taught him, it's that.... war never changes.

It depends. If I can be a slaver, evil for sure on first run. It really depends on the story, and I usually don't try for anything in particular, but go for how the NPCs react to me. If I think a NPC is a jerk, I will work against him/her, which could be good or bad. The only for sure evil thing I would do is be a slaver, as I miss throwing collars on people, one of the things I really liked in FO3. I generally don't go out of my way to murder someone unless they are a total jerk.

I voted neutral, just because I don't have enough info yet.

Love the fact that you role-play your character with his own backstory. It's always been the way I play-through and have found it most enjoyable in both the Fallout & Elder Scrolls universe! :bunny:

Most certainly. Though I feel some things may have to get retconed as I play. Later play throughs will be more stable as I learn the game.

Neutral-Good

I tend to go for a more with a natural approach to the problems i come across, i will try and do the good thing.. however you can't save everyone and sacrifice all to be the ultimate good guy.. sometimes you can't intervene when out-gunned, talk an enemy down using charisma.. and at times its more satisfying to go for revenge and just to shoot an enemy instead of spare him/her.

Makes for a more realistic story in my personal opinion.

I usually try to play the stereotypical morally gray "good guy who becomes disillusioned and understands that certain bad deeds need to be done in order to survive" type of character. And it usually works, but not in the way I intend.

Instead of being some badass, edgy dude, my guy ends up being a lunatic who does great deeds but steals and murders if it can get him a nice piece of loot. Happens every time. :P

Good.

The wastes need someone to stand firm and bring some goodness via a combat shotgun blast with caps loaded with buckshot justice.

I didn't make this mess....but I'm sure as Hell gonna clean it up.

Evil, but not 'shoot everyone in the face cause I can' evil, rather 'stab everyone in the back if I can get something from them this way' evil, you know like milking Megaton for all its quests and loot and then nuking it for the caps and sweet lodging. Also if there's any kind of faction system I will most certainly back the evil faction, provided there is one. That's just how I always roll in Fallout, for some reason.

I will be the hero Boston did not wanted but they still got her. A truly great specimen of Evil and chaos. Something that Emperor Palpatine would drop a single tear and say: *thats my kid right there*

I will be evil/bad like Joker or Creeper in Batman series are. A force of nature, something that Wasteland has never seen.

If i am lucky there will be a group that i can join. That behaves like Enclave or Legion. So i can blow the rebel scum and bring order wasteland. In the name of righteous faction.

Karma is just a word for cosmic balance. I have to balance my need to take everything that isn't nailed down, with the owner's desire to keep his stuff.

If I am a good enough scavenger, then I get a tiny ding on my karma, and I can go do a good deed somewhere and work it off. If I am careless, then shots ring out, and suddenly I'm Mr. or Ms. Evil.

So for me, Evil vs Good usually works out to:
Don't Get Caught

First character good, second character evil, all subsequent characters will vary immensely.

I always play a slightly overzealous hero with a bit of a klepto streak. I'll provide help to anybody who needs it and punish anybody who deserves it, sometimes at great risk and against better judgement, but if an innocent person happens to have a piece of choice loot, it may just get misplaced. The only way my playthroughs really change is their choice in the weapons and tactics they use to mete out justice in the Wasteland.

Why can't you be Evil Saviour of the Wastes? Saviour just means you save someone from something. It could be as simple as saving a kid from drowning or complicated like saving the country from ravenous demons. An evil person could save the kid so the kid becomes their minion or they become Emperor of the country.

Booji Boy is neither good nor evil.
Not that he is neutral, either. He just doesn't buy into the binary system of good and evil. He's meta like that.

I'm always good in RPGs. I don't like being evil. I like being the hero.

:tops: . I know it's not the popular train of thought but I've always liked reflecting my characters in these rpg's who I strive to be in real life...minus all the mutant slaying, etc...lol!
