A group of Enclave outcasts, exiled for the reason of they think that genocide is not the answer
i dont think they would let them go out and tell the world about there hidden bunkers and share the training they had so more likely they would get a plasma burst or two in the head right after taking the armor off.

It's enough for me if factions(be it NCR, Caesars legion or any other) that I support will do sketchy things, that player witnesses or even takes part in. For example: NCR executing poor farmers for suspicious reasons, Legionaires smuggling drugs and alcohol amongst themselves or BoS members selling their secrets to outsiders. So to put it bluntly, I dont want to feel entirely good fighting for any cause, there'd always be flaws in factions.

A faction loosely based off of the colonists in the American revolution cleverly named the patriots or something. Lead by a guy who calls himself George Washington. He would just preach freedom for everyone (also no slavery), but he would be a dictator. He would say that he has to organize things first until everyone can truly be free (which would sort of be a lie, he likes power). There fighting tactics would also include guerilla warfare mostly, so they would wear light armor and have a lot of melee and silenced weapons.

I see it as something like Caesar's Legion, but much smaller, and different viewpoints, and no slavery.

Maybe as small remnants, but they definitely should not come back as a major faction.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Marion, would do better than George Washington. George Washington could just be the head, while Swamp Fox is his man in the field. After all the Colonialists' man when it came to fighting guerrilla style, was Swamp Fox.

A group of Enclave outcasts, exiled for the reason of they think that genocide is not the answer, we could bring a real government back to these people, without killing everyone we don't like.

The American dream is about freedom and equality, if we start our nation off with oppression and intolerance, we will never meet our goal.

They use older Enclave technology along with some of their own tech they made.

Not only is any resistance - both popular and individual - in the Enclave exceedingly rare but the also doesn't "exile" it's members, they get court-martialed. Not only that but the mindset that the Enclave is wrong doesn't exist, Richardson's proclaimations about the Project clearly wouldn't occur unless it was public knowledge - and presumately well received, the citizens certainly don't offer any opposition.

Memo: State of the Nation
From: President dike Richardson
To: The People of this Great Nation
Subject: The State of the Union Address

Fellow Americans, I have been honored to be the steward that will take the American people back to the mainland to reclaim the United States for its own citizens. We will be the first generation free of the mutant threat in over one hundred years.

It's been a long wait, and the work that has made this possible has been difficult. At times it seemed impossible, however through the brave and tireless efforts of our own head of the Chemical Corps, Dr. Charles Curling, the hour of our salvation is now at hand.

That's the guy that The Patriot was based off. I love that movie.

I agree that if a faction like that was implemented Washington would be more of a general/commander than an actual soldier.

That's the role I was going for, for this George Washington character, wasn't too specific.

That Swamp Fox guy definitely seems like a good fit, and even his name sort of fits (maybe if they add foxes). I also think a Charles Lee character would be interesting.

It was a good action movie for the Revolution, not many of them are out there, but if they wanted to do a Swamp Fox movie, they should have actually done one correct, not just base a character around similar aspects. But like I said, good Revolutionary War action flick.

Even if they didn't add foxes, it would fit. I don't think there's many foxes in the swamp anyway, and that part of his name was because of the whole thing of foxes being cunning creatures (cunning as a fox for example,) which he was. Not because there were foxes in the area.

Incase people missed it. It was after all, at the end of the last faction ideas, thread.

Spoiler
Name: Guardians of Gaia
Location: Cascade Mt. Range, Washington State
History/Origin: Calling themselves the Guardians of Gaia, they originally started out from an undisclosed Vault, hidden away deep in their territory that no outsider has ever laid eyes on. The only reason outsiders know they came from a Vault, is that the Guardians once left a couple vault jumpsuits hanging from some trees, but with the numbers torn off.

The Guardians of Gaia have reverted to adopting both a primitivist and scientific approach to their lives and society, along with seeing everyone in their organization as equals, and follow what’s known as the Gaia Protocols.

Under these protocols, the Guardians of Gaia are sworn to protect and uphold nature, defending it by any means necessary, even if that means creatures out there that might otherwise tear them limb from limb, they’ll protect it from poachers, hunters, and anyone else. They do this for several reasons, all of which originate from none other than the Gaia Protocols. Some are for reasons of scientific study, while others are simply to uphold what nature has become and not let it again be destroyed like when the Great War nearly wiped everything out.

Although they have a very scientific part of their society, the primitivist side is what most outsiders are shown. Their warriors fight with various types of primitive weapons, such as bows, spears, crossbows, swords, etc. and use guerrilla tactics against those who would trespass on their territory. They’ve been considered “ghosts”, by those lucky enough to survive a battle with them, only getting quick glances of them from one’s peripheral view, and when in combat they come and go as they please, moving just as quickly, and striking from anywhere they so choose; only to disappear and strike somewhere else again.

Their scientific side, is shrouded in mystery and rumor. Some say they do experiments on themselves, or those that they capture, turning ordinary men into freaks of nature. One of the more popular rumors that’s been turned into a child’s story as well, is that the Guardians of Gaia will snatch the bad children from their beds, and fuse various sorts of animal parts onto them, like antlers, hooves, and other things. The more advlt rumor, is that when they capture someone, that person isn’t just fused with animal parts, but turned into one of their warriors, since the warriors are often said by those who survive, to be wearing things like antlers on their armor, and other things.

They’re a very isolated and reclusive group, but not afraid to defend what they call theirs, even if it’s land that’s already been called by someone else, they will take it by force if necessary.

PC Interaction: When the PC hears about the Guardians of Gaia, and goes to investigate, they’ll be quickly ambushed by questioning Guardians, armed and ready to kill. If the player passes a speech check, as well as possibly a science check if speech isn’t high enough, the Guardians will let the PC into their territory and to one of their small camps. There, the PC will learn more about the Guardians, their history and more than just what rumor and myth says about them.

At the camp, after learning a bit about them, the leader of the camp will come out to greet you, warning you that any sort of trickery or deception on the PC’s part will get him branded as dead to any and all Guardians the PC comes across in the future. After either fighting it out then and there, or assuring him/her your silence and trust, the leader of the camp will tell you of some trouble they’ve been having.

Skip ahead a few quests, and if you’ve made if this far without betraying them, they’ll finally allow you to their Vault, which is where everything involving their scientific research and experiments happens. Most of what you’ll find at first, is scientists learning and documenting various things about various species and things, but as you get deeper and more trusted by the scientists of the Guardians, you’ll learn that the rumor of some of them having animal parts, is indeed true. But that this mutation isn’t of their own doing, it was something they’ve all grown up with since their ancestors entered the Vault. Although not completely 100% sure themselves, about exactly what happened, or how it caused them to mutate and have animal parts, they’re set on figuring it out in some corrupted data that an overseer years and years ago, tried to destroy before other Vaulters could stop him/her, leaving them with what they have now, a corrupted data stream that needs to be sorted and their lineage story finally put to rest for them, and you.

Like the Great Khans. Their name and homes (yurts), all stem from Mongolian influence.

I already posted this on some other thread but i'll just repost it here(with little modifications):

East Coast Trading Company

Moral view: Lawful evil

Citizens/troops: Scumbag merchants, slavers, not-savage raiders, NCR and Legion deserters.

Allies: Several raider and slaver groups, some petty towns.

Enemies: NCR(only in the open, some in it trade with ECTC), Legion(ECTCs lack of moral) and (when ECTC has technology) BoS.

Location: HQ in an immobile tanker somewhere along the eastern coast and many outposts along eastern USA.

Equipment/merchandise: Everything they can scavenge+almost Gun Runner quality armament.

Little history: Founded by an ex-Gun Runner named Carl Leone, who was almost killed by the GR for his shady businesses. He then ventured to New Reno, where he learned how to run a ruthless "family" as Mr. Bishops protege. At some point he angered the Van Graffs and had to flee far towards eastern coast. During the journey he befriended a raider leader called Shark(filed teeth and habit of biting people) and a slaver twins Jimmy and Jenny. They form the "head" of ECTC. ECTC was founded when this four headed army(since shark took his people with him) ventured to the coast, found an inhabited tanker connected to land by an steel bridge(similar to the one in Rivet City) and slaughtered its inhabitants, hanging corpses from the bridge(where their skeletons still hang), scavenging all weaponry and supplies and set up shop a few miles away from the tanker. Soon news spread and people started to come shopping there or pleding to join their ranks. After 2 years of operating from the tankers outskirts ECTC had enough money to start sending slaver groups to capture slaves(only wanderers on the road, never attacking settlements) and set up outposts farther. NCR and the Legion got news of them but neither didnt have enough intrest to attack them in ECTCs home areas, only harassing them in their own territory. Carl also started weapon manufacturing, and since he was a Gun Runner their armament is better than most. They now have a solid foothold in the east, though without controlling any other settlements than the tanker.

I think we should make a normall campaign finding out who we are and stuff but we beat the campaign we should by an add on so we can make out own group like the brother hood and ncr. We should go around and be able to recruit raiders to join our army's by uniforms make a online server so we can go to war with other players and there army's I think it would be a great add on its never ending you can expanded you city to a state then to a country then take over the world. Also another add on were we can make scientific discoverys we start to find rocket ships and learn more about star an so we will fly into outer space and colonize on the moon or mars and fight aliens and maybe be friends with some and there could be update and we could fly to other planets and solar systems endless possiablitys maybe find out how to time travel and stop the war from happening(: but maybe not I want fallout to continue but this would be really fun I hope they like my idea.(:

I have spent a couple of hours thinking this up. Hope people like it:

The Kingdom of Florida-
Empire of Lakeside (Vault 66)
Vault 66 was a social experiment vault in Lakeside, Florida (northern part of Florida, near Jacksonville). The Vault had only been filled with people below the age of twenty-four with the oldest of them being placed as dictator and was supposed to open after fifty years. The dictator, named Charles Martin, of the Vault was very popular, settling differences in race, religion, and six equally and fairly. He ruled until he was the age of sixty-two before dying of the New Plague, which was rare but circulating in the Vault. His predecessor, George Daniels, was far less popular to the people of the Vault. He was less of a humanitarian and more of a military dictator who made life hard for the middle and lower classes. He ruled unopposed until a group known as the Followers of Saint Charles Martin, he has been deemed worthy of sainthood by the Religious Union of the Vault one month after his death, called Daniels an incompetent leader and demanded him to step down. Many agreed with them but Daniels did not. He attempted to arrest their leaders but a riot that lasted two days stopped his guards. During that time the vaults extensive armory was raided, all except for what Daniels’ guards already had (dozens of 12.7mm SMGs, twice as many Riot Shotguns, and tons of Reinforced Vault 66 Security Armor) was in the hands of the rioters. The day after the riots the Followers of Saint Charles proclaimed themselves a rebellion against Daniels tyranny; three other groups did as well: the People’s Resistance of Tyranny, the Common Workers’ Resistance, and the Resistance of Equality. These resistances fought each other as much as Daniels’ Tyranny; the People’s Resistance of Tyranny was led by a powerful dictator, Jacob Roberts, who had strong beliefs that civil unrest came from a lack of classes. These classes would make it impossible for the poor to ever gain enough money to no longer be poor, the middle class to become poor or become rich, and the rich to ever lose money. The upper middle class and the rich agreed with and supported Roberts but everybody else did not, causing much fighting. The Common Workers’ Resistance demanded better living conditions for the lower middle class and the poor. They wished for government reform so that those who were vital to the vault, like technicians and security guards, were paid more than musicians and chefs. They were very popular among Daniels’ security which caused them to refuse to even fight them when ordered to, this lead to Daniels allying with the Common Workers against the other resistances. The Resistance of Equality was very unpopular among all but the poor. Their beliefs were very communist in nature, they thought that everybody was equally important and should be treated as such. The Resistance of Equality was a strong enemy of the People’s Resistance of Tyranny. The Followers of Saint Charles Martin was very religious and had fundamentalist beliefs. They wished to unite all of the people of the vault under a single culture which would allow for the government to not have to regulate anything.
War waged among these factions in Vault 66 for twelve years, then the vault opened (the year was 2127). These armies left one by one to different parts of northern Florida; the People’s Resistance of Tyranny went west to Lake City where they set up their strict class system and forced the local tribes and settlements to join them. The Followers of Saint Charles Martin moved southwest to Gainesville where they slaughtered the tribes and the settlements. The Common Workers’ Resistance became the Common Workers’ Army and went southeast to Palm Coast where they allowed the local tribes and settlements to join, making a society that regarded labor over talent they remained allied with the Daniels’ Army against the resistances. The Resistance of Equality went north east to Jacksonville Beach. They formed a communist settlement there that was very popular among the local tribes who joined them. After gaining power for a year they all went back to a bloody war that lasted three years, ending in the assassination of Daniels by Dean Jackson, his right hand man, who was secretly a member of the Followers of Saint Charles Martin. Dean ruled Daniels’ armies for a total of three days before a seventeen year old boy named Charles Martin II stepped forward and took power. Saint Charles Martin had had a wife, Diana Martin, who divorced him six months before his death. She had slipped from the public eye before realizing she had been two weeks pregnant. Three months after his father's death Charles II was born with only Diana’s closest friends knowing that he was the son of Saint Charles. Charles II then took ideas from all of the resistances and created a society they all agreed on. He encouraged Vault 66’s unique form of Christianity but did not force it upon anybody like the Followers of Charles Martin did; the Followers agreed to this and joined him. He raised the pay of those whose jobs were necessary for the survival of his people which the Common Workers’ Army agreed with and joined him. He distinguished between the classes, offering relief for the rich who have fallen into the middle class, and the middle class who have fallen into the lower class but he made it possible for people to climb from lower classes to higher classes which the Resistance of Tyranny and the Resistance of Equality agreed with and joined him.
With the descendants of Vault 66 united once more Charles II officially founded the Empire of Lakeside in 2130 and named himself Emperor. The Empire of Lakeside would spread north to Albany, Georgia, west to Gulfport, Mississippi, and south to Tampa, Florida. They would come in contact with the Kingdom of Arcadia in 2235.

Kingdom of Arcadia (Vault 65)
Vault 65 had been social experiment to see what would happen if four groups of 500 children (this vault was made bigger than most, able to accommodate 2,000 people) between the ages of three and five were kept separate and taught very different religions but none would meet until fifty years later when the vault opens. One group was taught a simplified version of Ancient Egypt’s religion and that they would become the rulers of the world. There was a very large armory (containing Assault Carbines, Riot Shotguns, Anti-Material Rifles, Marksman Carbines, Brush Guns, Trail Carbines, 12.7mm SMGs, Missile Launchers, and 5.56mm Pistols), the strongest of all of the groups, in their part of the vault along with the most thorough education programs given by the robots of their part of the vault. They were taught to integrate and accept other cultures and religions that they would someday conquer. The second group was taught Ancient Greek’s religion, how to speak Greek along with English, and that they would fight a powerful enemy once they exited the vault but would be conquered and someday be part of their society (the Neo-Egyptians). They were given the second best education programs but were only given spears, 9mm pistols, and machetes. The third group was taught Ancient Rome’s religion, how to speak Latin, and that they would ally with a neighbor with a similar culture (the Neo-Greeks) to fight a powerful enemy that would defeat them (the Neo-Egyptians). They were given an armory full of Brush Guns, Hunting Rifles, 12.7mm SMGs, and Hunting Shotguns. They were also given the third best education programs out of all of the groups. The fourth group was taught a religion that was a mixture of Ancient Egyptian, Ancient Greek, and Ancient Roman religions. They were taught that the Neo-Egyptians, Neo-Greeks, and Neo-Romans (they had access to cameras that showed them those groups who were better taught and better equipped than them) would someday conquer them and the only way they would ever win is by using their culture to combine all of those groups together to form one large faction. They were only given spears and knives to fight off raiders in the wasteland but were taught to mostly be pacifists.
When the Vault opened (it had four separate doors so that none of the factions met each other, the Neo-Egyptians had the big vault door while the others had smaller side exits) in 2127 in Arcadia, Florida (northeast of Port Charlette) the Neo-Egyptians spread northeast, taking over much land, enslaving tribes who refused to convert to their religion, and gaining much power. The Neo-Greeks and the Neo-Romans allied with each other and spread northwest, converting tribes and enslaving those who refused to join them. The fourth group (which became known as the Arcadians in history books in Florida) spread south, converting tribes who wished to be converted and displacing tribes who did not. The Neo-Egyptians went to war with the Neo-Greeks and the Neo-Romans in 2128. The war was bloody and caused the Neo-Romans and Neo-Greeks to almost constantly be on the retreat. In the famous battle called the Battle of Arcadia the Neo-Greek and Neo-Roman armies made their last stand north of the city of Arcadia which was the capital of the Arcadians. They fought bravely against Neo-Egypt’s powerful armies and when they were forced to retreat the Arcadians allowed them to enter their city. The Neo-Egyptians sent a diplomat to discuss surrendering the Neo-Greeks and Neo-Romans from Arcadia or let the entire city be destroyed by the Neo-Egyptians. Instead of surrendering the Arcadians explained their beliefs and how similar they were to the Neo-Egyptians. The Pharaohs was so intrigued by this that they decided to personally converse with the King of the Arcadians, Felix Lee. Felix spent hours talking with the Pharaohs; he convinced them that the Neo-Egyptians, Neo-Greeks, and Neo-Romans were meant to join together with the Arcadians to form the mightiest kingdom in history. So that is what happened. Felix became the first King of this new kingdom, which he named the Kingdom of Arcadia (before it had no name) with the other factions becoming integrated into it.
The Pharaohs became religious leaders within this new kingdom, the Greek-Roman Gods (their names were combined so that the Greek name was their first name and the Roman name was there last (ex: Zeus Jupiter, Athena Minerva, and Ares Mars)) were believed to be ancient Pharaohs and that Egyptian gods had been the gods of them as well. A new language, regarded as the language of religion, was formed mixing Greek and Latin with English called Arcadian. It was only used in religious teachings.
The Kingdom of Arcadia spread all of the way to the southern tip of Florida where they met the people of Vault 67. Vault 67 was made up of people who were taught little other than how to speak English (not read), how to farm very well, how to fish with new techniques, how to make incredible boats, and how to hunt very well. They had made up seven large tribes in southern Florida and they had been conquered by the Kingdom of Arcadia who had educated them in religion, reading, and Arcadian to those who wished to learn it. Vault 67 helped the Arcadians become as powerful on the water as they were on the landas well as useful fishing, hunting, and farming techniques that proved invaluable.

Kingdom of Florida
In 2135 the Kingdom of Arcadia met the Empire of Lakeside in Tampa. At first they fought each other in a costly war but in the winter of 2236 they declared peace. Following there treaty the Arcadian religion spread into Lakeside’s territory. Vault 66 Christianity (the Empire of Lakeside’s religion) began to combine with Arcadian and by the year 2250 both religions were one. Arcadian had been changed by the addition of saints, people who were not descendants of gods (Pharaohs) but had done such great things in their lifetime that they deserved to be celebrated forever. With this combined religion and similar cultures the Kingdom of Arcadia and the Empire of Lakeside became the Kingdom of Florida in 2252 with Arcadia as its capital.

It spread no further but maintained its land well past 2281.

EDIT- Forgot to mention that Charles II outlawed right after combining allow the people of Vault 66. When the Kingdom of Arcadia and the Empire of Lakeside combined slavery was outlawed in Arcadian territory as well.

Senor, your dates got mixed up at the end I think you meant those dates to be in the 2200's. It would be interesting, and I'm assuming that if they were in a game in Florida they would be invaded or have some civil war.

After reviewing it once more I that it would make more sense if the two seperate factions were building up strength for one hundred years before encountering each other.

And I was thinking that if they were ever in a game that it would either be a war between them and two other factions for New Orleans (their furthest border east was in a town just northwest of it) or at war with a New Confederacy.

And the title Senor makes me feel old.

My phone is dumb and autocorrects, and when I meant dates look at the kingdom of Florida, they formed in 2135 while the dates of its precursors are beyond that. Or I read it wrong, but you said they were closed for 50 years and within 10 years they had e expanded and were at war.

I think this faction wold be very interesting, they have a powerful culture, good weaponry, and are skilled farmers.

This would be a faction if you choose the wacky wasteland perk: Some pack of mutated animals(of either same or varying species) that, through radiations and a bunch of other random weird stuff( lets face it, fallouts good at that) can now speak and create a small settlement of their own, of course its a more well hidden thing since some people try to capture them to sell, but the player would stumble upon it by falling into one of their traps, after some discussion the "people" find the person safe and you can then explore their little hidey hole(that i really can't decide on).

Deciding on the place is tough >.<. It could be an underground utopiaish place, it could be a secret technologically advanced lab like place since while humans use their knowledge to keep killing each other, the animals, with a vast amount of resources when they found the place virtually unscathed started working. It could also be the lab was part of the experiment that caused them to be like this. Or my last idea is a vault. The animals were placed there to be tested and experimented on, and finally this happened. It was just one of the animals, but through generations, and many more experiments, all of the current ones can now speak.

I really don't know which one to choose, but i really think that if any game can pull off this kinda weird stuff and look good it would be Fallout ^_^.
