Fallout 3 & Fallout New Vegas crossovers

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 7:31 am

Here is something I wanted to throw out onto the forums: what if one could transfer there progress from previous Fallout games and not only see those slight mentions of progress from other games, BUT could also be able to see people from those games like Moira,Victor, Sunny Smiles, Veronica, Fawkes, Dogmeat, The King, or maybe even your characters from those games. Again, something to throw out there.

I'm fine with cameos and references to FO3, but FO4 takes place 4 years before New Vegas so I don't think that there should be much there, if anything.

Did they say when it starts or are you just guessing?

They said it would be 200 years after 2077, and later clarified that it was exactly 200 years. That would make it the same year as FO3.

I know this is really improbable, but I'm really hoping we'll get a DLC where we see the Divide before it got nuked...who am I kidding? There's a freaking alien DLC, anything's possible at this point.

I would like some cameos and I expect it really. People are still hotly debating the year. No one knows for sure yet. They did say 200 years multiple times though

Wait... where did they clarify it was exactly 200 years? I'm sure this never happened. They confirmed only that it takes place mostly after FO3. (mostly because we have a pre-war era before FO3 of course). So it would only be possible if the Lone Wanderer finished FO3 and Broken Steel in only two months... which is... unlikely I think.

There are actually a ton of easter eggs in the footage that suggest otherwise, in spite of the whole "200 year" wording that many seem to have taken quite literally rather than being an approximation. I'm sure this will be confirmed straight after QuakeCon, as it will be difficult to completely 'hide' the respective tabs on the Pip-Boy throughout an hour long demo.

But needless to say, I strongly feel that the game will be starting a few years after NV. The two most likely candidates so far are 2283 (500th anniversary of the end of the Revolutionary War) and 2285 (the year I have predicted in my various threads).

Perhaps I should have said that the year was confirmed, I agree the exact month is a bit murky. I can't post links the right way on mobile, but here is a link to a Pete Hines tweet saying that it is 2277.

The tweet actually gives what many consider to be a vague answer. Especially when you consider how directly he answers the question underneath on the link.
