Yes, but I also write novels and essays. It's not all porm. That just pays the best.

Well. In Polish is fine, I mean, after all, weren't the Witcher series of books originally written in Polish?
Funny. I have played both male and female characters and I was able to get all the perks without even one romance. Odd.
Are we playing the same game?
You obviously never played FO before then, oh lord typical W3 fan.....And you actually think NV had good righting?
Ahh a reverse Witcher 3 commercial. I have no idea as I will not play third person. This goes way back and I have tried, I don't like it. Why would I be looking at my ass? Just destroys all my RP. I need to see out of my eyes.
That's exactly what i was thinking, while reading up on everyone's posts in this topic. A game (or book or movie) can have nothing sixual, no drugs, and no cursing and still be considered a "mature" story. And even maturity itself is subject to each person's interpretations.
In the case of the OP's argument, if we are going very basic, then, yeah, Witcher 3 is "more mature" than Fallout 4. But...that can be subjective to others. And as someone else has said, it can get complicated trying to compare these two games against each other, when they are obviously two separate creations with different settings, gameplay, etc. You can compare the RPG elements, sure, just like you can compare and contrast gameplay of different FPSs, but that's really all that's relevant once you notice that they diverge from each other in many other areas.
Anyway, I know I went on a bit of a tangent there, but I wanted to voice my agreement with your assessment. I was thinking the same thing too as I read all the posts here.
Yeah. They were pretty good, too, though by no means "masterpiece." Sorry, not much of a fantasy nerd here, but I think we can (must) all agree Tolkien set a really high bar, and given that scale we can take "masterpiece" off the table.
What does that have to do with it?
Sure, his view of what makes something "mature" may be different from someone else's, and age can sometimes play a part in that assessment, but...
It's a question of exposure and experience. Remember when we thought the original Star Wars special effects were like: OMG SO WOW? But now they look kind of campy and cheesy? 18 is like that.
Hehe, well it is a fine ass, but its the same ass over and over. Creating your own character adds alot to a game, and first person adds even more in terms of immersion.
Of course your eyes are wearing blinders and you have no peripheral vision, but, hey, at least it's your eyes.
You know, I am really getting tired of these XXX did it better threads. People go comb through each game looking for proof to make their point and ignore everything else.
Its like watching the Democrats and Republicans talk about how evil the other guy is, except the politicians do it better, and they are morons.
I have 8 in ESO and several are pretty nice. I still play FP even with all the so called reasons not to in an MMO.
As someone who has read the entire series over 400 times since the age of 5, I must agree. Tolkien rules!
Well I have messed with the ini ... but yes.
Mainly for the OP..
As a man, now going on my late 40s who has spent hours in game in what would amount to say playing with paper dolls (dressing settlers so they look cool well to me). I feel that I can not adequately Judge what is mature or immature anymore. Also I am strangely not bothered by this, and what is worse not so sure I should be.
I did want to hold a little space to comment, just in case I ever do figure it out.
And now I have.
2-caps
I guess it depends on the person, when I rp I'm not my character, I'm simply there along for the ride so I switch between first and third person randomly. Neither take away from my own immersion.
As for Fallout's maturity, well it's the spiritual successor of Wasteland, a game where the developer described it as "Mad Max meets Bugs Bunny". Take that as you will.
My favorite Fallout of the Bethesda era isn't FO3 or New Vegas, but an F:NV DLC. As far as I'm concerned, Old World Blues nailed the Fallout aesthetic. Loopy, over-the-top dark humor that simultaneously aped and mocked 1950's science fiction, as well as that era's McCarthyism and jingoism. Talking to the Think Tank was a hilarious experience, yet there was still a serious question: is the reckless pursuit of science a good idea?
That's what I mean by the Bethesda era - since Bethesda bought the IP from Interplay.
