Fallout for a TES player

What I said were kinda facts, comapring the two games you'll notice the lack of places to explore, the amount of enemies, no random encounters, and less jawdropping moments

what you said were kinda opinions, and what evidence they are based on, you extremely exaggerated.

If you like a really fun post apocalyptic game with lots to do and tons of places to explore i`d suggest u get F03, but if u like a boring game wih very little to do,no random encounters, very few places to explore, and lots of boring talking then NV is your game

Just edit and leave your posts blank. What you said here is not a truthful statement to say the least.
You need to word things way better when trying to explain games to people. See some people like a slower paced game with not alot of side attractions. Fo nv is an open world rpg, fo3 is many game types rolled into one. Fo3 is more action packed because the lead developer feels that game play trumps story lines. Obsidian is exactly opposite.

The person must decide on there own. This not a vs thread, dumb talk like that will turn it into one.

if you haven't played Fallout 1 or 2 (like 80% of us), then start with Fallout 3 GOTY. Awesome game, keep you going for months.

If you've played FO1 and FO2, then skip FO3 and go straight to New Vegas. Mainly for the storyline continuation.

Also for the fact that New Vegas doesn't have much prepwork, it kind of assumes you've already played Fallout 3. Whereas Fallout 3 starts from birth, and builds you up gradually.

I am imagining Gary Gygax rolling over in his grave right now. I am also imagining a group of gamers, sitting around the big table, dice in hand, charater sheets prominently situated in front of them, NOT talking. Just sitting there, doing nothing. Role playing without talking is merely looking at a pretty slideshow of pictures on your computer screen. I never cease to be amazed sometimes. May Gary rest in peace.

Besides the setting the main difference is the V.A.T.S system and the dialogue system.

Other than that, it has the same kind of feel.

I won't jump intothis discussion.

However I strongly disagree that 3 was a reskinned Oblivion basically.

We might aswell say Morrowind is a reskinned Wasteland and that of coarse isn't true.

However Bethesda has a lot of work to do on 4 if they want the confidence of true Fallout fans back at all. They got millions of new fans and even the haters for the most part bought Beth/Obsidi's New Vegas.

Time to sink both customer groups in. Presuming 4 isn't a massive pitt of misery and fail.

So 3 or New Vegas compared to Fallout 1 aren't impressive. None of them are just a reskinned Elder Scrolls game however.
