Are we ever going to be able to explore Fallout Vegas at the end of the main storyline? whether this be through add ons.

If you're on a PC there are mods that can do that already.

From what I understand Obsidian have said they have no intention of doing a post-end DLC.

It ends because there are mutiple endings and those four times as much work if you wanted to see the effects post ending. Same reason there will be no DLC.

Unfortunately there is a mod for that on PC, but this won't happen on the consoles.

*(I suspect that the end-game story credibility will suffer noticeably with the use of that mod.)

I haven't beat the game yet, but from what I can tell so far, the endings will involve a huge shift in the power balance of the Mojave. It wouldn't make sense to keep playing, unless they completely remade every area, and every piece of dialogue.

Guys you really should check this out: http://fallout.gamesas.com/eng/home/pr-101810.php

Looks like they are planning on it through DLC's later this year.

It says things like, "extend" the game. That does not necessarily mean that the game continues past the original ending. It would be interesting however, if you were to play all the DLC, then finish the game, and get additional "end game slides" that cover the events from the DLC.

I agree. The main reason I am leaning towards what I said is because its the same path that Bethesda chose to take. I know what happens when you assume, though...
