Whenever I open the pause menu or try to quicksave, the game freezes up and it takes a while for it to continue. How do I resolve this issue? BTW Im on PS4

Same here. Now the quicksave option is not so quick anymore. It gets really annoying when the pipboy autosave.

Same issue here, constant freezing (30 sec or so) on fast travel/main menu screen/autosave/quick-save and loading screens

I have a digital copy if that make any differences.

It was probably caused by the newest patch. Hopefully they fix this up soon.

I'm having the same exact problem. In the meantime, I've disabled as many of the autosave features as I can. Pausing the game will make it freeze still, but after you pause and go into the gameplay settings and disable save in pipboy, and turn off the save on rest, wait, and travel, it makes gameplay a little easier.


Is there a way to uninstall and reinstall the update?

Well, you could delete the game data (NOT the save data, the game data, which should be ~32-33GB) and reinstall the entire game. Don't think you can roll back to a previous patch though, no. I assume they will hot-fix this problem soon though. Should never have been in the patch in the first place, horrible testing on their part.

Well, i tried those for a good amount of time, but i haven't encountered freezes and such stuff!

Also tried 5 or 6 times to fast travel back and forth - going to main menu a lot of times, even did some quick saves (first time actually), but nada...

It only started happening today, I assume because of patch 1.3.

I'm not going to post a video, but just imagine every time you pause, "un-pause," or save, the game freezes for about 20 seconds before continuing.

Man, i don't know, i haven't those problems, and i don't know why?

I mean that doesn't makes sense, does it?

Have you tried to move your saves ona external usb devises, or in the cloud, start a new character and try the same?

There must be an explanation for that, but i can't figure it out what it is....for now.

OK, man...

I tried starting a new game under a different account and still got the same bug. The freezing issue is still there. I'll try delete the game and reinstall I guess.

BTW my system is as follow:

- Day One PS4

- Hard-Drive changed for a seagate 2TB

- Digital Copy of the game

- No season pass installed

Just like to add weight to the issue with Patch 1.3 mone keeps freezimg too on Pause, not so quicksave, fast travel, autosave. All fine before the patch 1.3 was installed

I didn't know what kind of freezing you guys was getting, but it just started happening to me, so i'm going to try and reinstalling the game and data to see how that goes.

It's definitly the new patch (1.03 PS4 at least) as I've been playing fine on the 1.02 patch as far as this never happening. Happens to me as well, also happens when fast travel (sometimes).
