If you're looking for a campaign idea, I once had a concept I called the "Iron Brahmin" - Basically it was introducing railroads back into california. The theme would have been very wild western with track construction and train operations having to deal with raiders, slavers, and deathclaw.... Not to mention the mutants. You could add some conflict by making the Iron Brahmin NCR-Government dominated, whilst the Caravaning establishment are against it.
