Hi, I'm having a problem with Fallout 3. When i click play i get the error "No sound device detected fallout cannot start". I have tried about everything, can't seem to figure it out..All my sounds are on, when i launch the game. It shows up in the sounds, i don't get it. I'm running Windows 7...I even tried hooking up the HDMI to my tv thru the graphics card which also plays sound with everything. Just the game will not launch because of this error. HELP!

It's got to be drivers, Dx9, or a game file is corrupted. You really chose to be stingy with information, so I was just going to ignore you. I listed the possibilities in order of ease of correction. Remove the current audio driver, and reinstall the newest for whatever audio is primary, retest. If that fails, get the newest Dx9 and install that. Retest. Last, uninstall the game, reinstall it.

I figured it out, it was actually Avast anti-virus that was causing the problem...

I liked and used Avast myself, for several years, but had to replace it because it couldn't keep itself in good working order any longer.
