Fallout Game with no Vaults?

I was actually suggesting that they built less than 122, and lied to make themselves look good, ANTIDISESTABLISHMENTARIANISM!!!

No they built 122 for project Safe house. They could have built any number of unnumbered secret/ private vaults.

I agree. The private vaults arn't apart of the vault experiments. When many people talk about vaults they are talking about the vault experiments. Still out of the 122 vaults 17 of them were normal vaults.

What? Other people built Vaults, Mr.House has one or something alot like a Vault, there was one in LA that was not one of the 122, they are called Vault Tek, they must have built other vaults before the government came to them. 122 of the vaults built by the government only 105 became apart of the experiments.

Vault Tec where told to build 122 Vaults and they did. Enclave were the ones that made the 105 experiments.

Yes, Vault Tec could have built other Vaults but they would not be filled with Enclave experiments and they would not be numbered.

I am not supposing anything, i am just putting forth an interesting view to spark speculation, and it succeeded, why would they not be numbered?

Because they wouldn't be apart of the Enclave's project and the numbering system makes it easy to keep track of, If more vaults were built they probably would have been privately owned hence no need for a number.

Vault 123, not part of Project Safehouse, as the patent only certified 122 vaults ;)
Vault 123 is part of Project Pretty-Secure-house

Talk of Enclave secret Vaults is something the "Burned Game" came up with! I hope your not suggesting we use anything from it :verymad:

I never said Enclave secret Vaults :stare:

I use that name for humor
I will be serious so you can get over your hatred for happines ;)

What I am saying is that perhaps the Department of Civil Defense also had a hundred or so Vaults set up, but the Enclave only needed the 100 or so Vaults for the experiments, and therefore left their claws out of Project Pretty-Secure-house Vaults.

America was running out of money, resouces and food, at war with China and spent another $645 billion on the 122 vaults, only to go spend another $645 billion on another 100 vaults we did not know about, very logical. :brokencomputer:

Even still these vaults would not be full of the experiments. The experiments seem to be what people want to see. Wasteland would be alot more populated and faster with another 100 secret vaults.

I have said before that i am debating this to bring out speculation, not because i believe this is true, just that it may be.

I know, sorry for coming off as hostile. I understand peoples love of Vaults. I would like to see some more private vaults like the one Mr.House.

What about private industry ones? Not built at request, but built and advertised like Vault Tecs?

Point of fact to other vaults not in Project safehouse not being numbered. The show vault in LA where the master moved in, wasn't numbered IIRC.

No vaults means it's not a Fallout game, plain and simple. They have been at the heart of the series since its inception; you can't have Fallout without Vaults.

I would actually love a Fallout game without vaults. I've hated exploring them since FO1.

I wouldn't mind fully functional, inhabited ones, but no more ruined ones... Please...

They have been nothing but boring dungeons in the last two games, so no, I wouldn't be upset.

Fallout 2 only has Vault 8 the other two vaults are Vault 13 and 15, We saw them in Fallout. Tactics only has Vault Zero. It was not till Fallout 3 and New Vegas that Vaults show up over every hill.

It is possible for other Vaults built by Vault Tec to be in places or by other companies. I would like to see some more. We had the LA Vault and Mr.House's Robot one. I want to see more military bunkers and so on.
Still my point is people want to see the crazy Vault experiments and only the ones that have that are the 122 vaults, 105 of them.

I want to see more Vault Cities. There could be 15 out there.
