Fallout 4 Geck Requests

Post » Wed Jun 03, 2015 8:45 pm

Hello, as many modders are aware the Modding Kits that Bethesda releases are crippled by non 64bit native support. This limits the ram Usage by the kit to under 4GB which is a crippling blow for bigger projects. I was wondering If bethesda could answer what they intend to do with the Geck this time around and potential changes?

I don't remember, do the new consoles have 64-bit or 32-bit operating systems?

At any rate, I'd imagine 64-bit is commonplace enough around the PC community now that they would support it. It would be great to have confirmation, though.

PS4 and Xbox One are basically AMD PC's but weaker and not open. Should be easier now that ps3 and 360 aren't being developed for, although I am a novice with PC stuff. :D

I just want to know because if the current gen consoles can do 64-bit, then by all means they would have 64-bit support on the PC. I don't think they are, though, but I've never heard confirmation either way.

i hope the game is 64 bit, i've read some conflicting stuff on the OS of Xbox One , but i believe its mostly 64 bit.

it's going to depend entirely on whether or not Bethesda made fallout 4 for xbox360 gen. You would probably think not, but this is bethesda here.

64 is the future. Curious what game engine they're using.
