You never know, Fallout 4 might get delayed after a bunch of video games released in a broken condition for sale this year on PC mostly like the PC version of Mortal Kombat X and Batman: Arkham Knight.

Does it matter? I'm not that worried about a delay.

I don't care when it goes gold. I just care when it goes live ... 4 weeks, 15 hours and 20 minutes from now.

Preach it (to the Church of Atom). I'm with you there. Just waiting for my local store to announce their midnight launch event. I was there for Smash on the Wii U and I'll be there for this one.

Just after gold is when the reviewer copies go out. And that's important to some of us. Other than that, it really don't mean squat except that it's just another step to getting released.

Won't happen, and no need to jinx.

The PC specs not being shared would have been an obvious sign of an 'issue'.

With the PC specs out, and out early, the launch is on its glide path.

As for going gold, my bet would be on October 19th.

Not necessarily. Not every publisher sends an early copy to reviewers, and even if they tend to, they may not do it on some games. With Fallout 4, given how tight-lipped they are being on the story aspect, if they do send review copies out early, I would expect them to include NDAs with regard to actual story content. The reviewers may be able to make general statements, but nothing specific until after launch. Or, Bethesda may wait and not send any review copies until launch day. Or, they may even just not send any review copies at all.

We'll see what happens. But I *really* don't see Bethesda letting a review site spoil the story prior to launch after all the effort they have done to keep it a secret. It just wouldn't make much sense.

Simply going by what they did with Skyrim. Of course there will be NDA's locking information until release, but Bethesda is also going to want those glowing reviews on release day. There were a couple leaks on Skyrim (on Russian sites mostly) but generally the reviewers did a good job of keeping things secret.
