Fallout 3 GOTY Crashes after "New Game"

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 9:41 am

I just bought Fallout 3 earlier on Steam today. When I tried to run it, it imediately crashed. I fixed that, though. Now I am having another crash problem. Whenever I click New Game--> Yes it crashes like a second later. Anyone know how to fix this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

PS: I have run Fallout: New Vegas and other games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare so my graphics card should be able to run it on lowest graphics at LEAST.

4500MHD

Your laptop seems to have this integrated graphics chipset, which is really not meant for gaming.

You really cannot compare the system specs for other games, Fallout New Vegas for example had less strict requirements.

Fallout 3 requires shader model 2.0b which Intel sort of faked up to 4.0 on that series of chips.
