Hi, i got Fallout 3 GOTY in 2010 as a christmas present and i played it throughly untill about june, now i want to start playing it again so i launch the game and it starts asking me for a product key i never received, i contatcted Bethesda and they told me that no such product key exists, its extremely irratating, and i have no idea what to do, can someone help me?
im running windows 7 if it helps...

Does it give you an error code? It may be the Games for Windows Live code. If so, it should be located at the bottom inside of your case, under the discs. You should be able to just skip the GFWL key altogether since the game doesnt need it.

well what happens is i launch fallout 3, it signs me in to live and it brings up this box just asking for the product key, i can close the window but it does not let me use my old saves because they have DLC content that the GOTY Edition should of gave me...its very annoying...Not even microsoft can help me!

it may also be worth noting that the game technically isn't compatible with windows 7, but i can't verify that one as true since i've played it...

also strangely enough my save files are all intact on my computer

Did you ever get your product key code? I just bought the GOTY edition and the product key is on a label inside the case... but it does not work. I have contacted Bethesda to get a new one. If they are no help, I will be returning the game. Please let me know if you were ever able to get a code.

The code is on the inside of the DVD case. It says "LIVE Access Key" and under it is a series of letters and numbers. This is for accesss to Windows for Games Live, which I have never used. I keep everything on my harddrive and I have disabled GFWL.
