Fallout 3 GoTY Freezes right after the initial 'Birth".

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 9:32 am

Hi, all. As for my noobishness, I apologize for not understanding any posts about this topic and may require layman's terminology/directions to soliving my problem. I launch Fallout 3 GoTY, (via Steam), and imediately am brought to the main menu. I start a new game, watch the opening musical cinematic just fine, and bam. I see blood on my screen, and the visuals freeze. Yet I can still hear the heart monitor beeping. I ended the session, re-launched the game, set the visuals to low, and tried again. Bam. Froze right after the opening cinematic, didn't even see blood appear on the screen. (But I heard the sound effects of the sequence.) The farthest I've gotten is right at when Catherine says, "A beautiful baby _____.", and I freeze. Is this a matter of drivers? Or Did I not install something right?

Here's my DxDiag for [censored]sngiggles. (Sorry if I copied too much. Thought all of it was necessary.)
