Im here writing in regards to functionality of a Fallout 3 (GOTY Edition) on my pc.
A general sympton that despite the fact the game seems to run perfectly fine, I get a "blue screen of death" with which says something alongst the lines of "windows experinced a problem a needs to shut down to avoid damage". This follows by me needing to reboot my PC.
This happens occassionaly and in rather un-predictable manner however most (but not all) BSOD crashes occurred when im inside the town of "megaton".
I have made sure the all my drivers including my graphics card driver all up to date and ensured there is significant hard-drive memory space, i also scanned my PC repeatedly with "Microsoft security essentials" for any malware. I also tried disabling/enabling video effects like HDR, turning of vsynch and disabling shadows but to no avail.
My technical spec is as follows:
Operating system: Windows XP Service Pack 3
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS
CPU: DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, 2400 MHz (9 x 267)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L v2
RAM: 4GB
DirectX: V9.0c
Thank you in advance
