I have (spoilers) just retrieved the G.E.C.K and try to go back to arroyo and speak to him but he is lying in a pool of blood inaccessible and then just vanishes?

I know you can speak to him I've done it in another playthrough (that ended up getting deleted somehow) so I know you can talk to him but can I continue the mainstory if this is permanent?

It seems his body is there on the ground but if I hover my mouse over him parts of him disappear like i'm using an eraser on him and if I walk at all he just vanishes.
