I just had this idea and wanted to shout it out there:
What if the next Fallout had 'Hearthfire'-style housebuilding (or at least something similar in concept)?
I get that this may be an utterly ridiculous idea, but I was considering the generally restricted set of options in terms of housing in both FO3 and FO:NV and I thought, "what if you could build your own shack out in the wastes - turn it into a Manor-shack - rather than be confined to a Tenpenny suite or 'generic megaton dwelling' OR a New Vegas penthouse where you have to travel through 3 seperate cells just to get to it (that always annoyed me).
Of course I suppose it makes sense considering the context that viable places to live should be scarce in a post-nuclear wasteland such as this, but I still think it's a cool idea.
