There is always UFO: Alien Invasion for you to play, just not Fallout: Alien Invasion. ^_^

Aliens are a stupid idea.
They don't exist, they are clich?, and would take the last drop of realism of Fallout. It's bullshdong.

quote

yes not on this planet they do not.well if u call animals "humans" they dont. just look at all the variety on this tiny spit of sand. It would be damn right narrowminded/arrogant to beleive that earth is the only inhabited planet in the the whole universe. And that we are "blessed by god" as his special subjects lol

Their a gag, but they DO exist within the Fallout universe, but as a gag! A Joke! That does not mean they are going to fly down en mass to "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Destroy_All_Humans!"

F3 has more then enough enemies in it.

I do agree that a new Fallout game could do with a new faction of people struggling in the Wasteland (or trying to take control, expanding their power or whatever), but aliens are just too far-fetched. It should remain a gag. I don't want to enter an alien town in any Fallout game, ever, and talk to them while they talk gibberish back. It doesn't fit at all in the Fallout universe.

I tend to agree, those giant crabs for instance were very powerful at the start of the game till I leveled to fast for them to matter anymore, that and getting so many med-paks even Deathclaws, who I think are vastly overpowering to even a high level player, became a piece of cake to beat. I wish things were much harder to come by, even if a doctor has med-paks he doesn't always need to be selling them, that should relate into higher prices. When prices didn't rise, even though I cleaned these shop keepers out, it seemed very artificial to me, especially since I know they could have installed a better economic system.

I entirely agree. Aliens, especially a whole town of them, are becoming way to far-fetched even for the goofiness of the Wastes.

There needs to be more factions that emphasize HUMAN struggle. Not Aliens.

:| What with the aliens??? This game is based on a Nuke, not aliens anyway the Aliens would spoil the game ):
I like the wasteland with just mutants and normal people, instead of aliens you should have a new type of threat like
A more Mutated/Experiment like some group of scientist where trying to increase the radiation and made some new radiated
form What was killing everything and your job is to kill who ever created it and kill all the experiments before its gets any worse

I think he was talking about FEV, it isn't a bad idea, after all, it was the basis of the storyline in Fallout. The Master was just throwing humans, animals and anything that generally wandered inside the FEV tank, along with an assortment of body parts that became centaurs. I wouldn't mind seeing where those East coast Super Mutants came from, for instance, they couldn't have been coming in by waves from Vault 87. Who knows? A new master or something more resembling human meddling? The mysterious Commonwealth perhaps? Or someone new?

FEV was a virus, originally made to try to create super-soldiers. It got mutated by the radiation if I'm right about that. FEV plays an important part in the Fallout series, true, but you're suggesting the Master just threw in some ingredients and started stirring, and a Centaur came out. He actually had some vision behind what he did, it wasn't without reason.

Ugh. We have enough Humanity-pushed-to-the-brink-by-alien-attacks games as it is. Gears, Halo, Resistance - These series already do the alien thing and that's enough for me.

The only game to do fighting an alien invasion well was XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Hell the majority of new fallout players probably weren't even BORN when it was out.

I love that game...there's a version for Windows Mobile devices that I'm currently re-playing (I played the original in college).

By the way, love the Spathi avatar.

the game is about man destroying itself am i right? it would make it even better if we are also being destroyed by others 2 X the struggle is what im saying youve got mutants raiders just about everyone trying to kill you then on top of that aliens trying to take over?

does no one think that is goo?

I think the idea of adding aliens as a real plot element is goo :flamethrower: Not good, just goo....

What makes Fallout good is the human drama, the aliens are mostly a mystery,
Spoiler
you see a couple of bodies in the labs in raven rock
and there's the one site otherwise, that's it. No live ones, let alone talking ones. Keep is as at most an oblique reference you see on a terminal or holodisk hidden away in the lower level of an abandoned military base.

No. As has been said, the aliens in the Fallout universe are a gag and nothing more. To add aliens into the mix would be like adding aliens to...say...a Max Max movie. Does that sound good?

I think it would be a better idea to reveal that President Eden is actually a molerat sitting at a control panel inside a giant computer. That's right. Malcolm McDowell is the voice of an especially wily molerat. At the end of Fallout 4 he ingests a strain of FEV that transforms him into a Voltron-style giant molerat and you have to re-activate Liberty Prime to fight him...again, Voltron-style.

You can buy all the XCOM games on Steam for virtually nothing. Steam's a good way to buy Fallout 3 too!
