When do you think Fallout 4 is probably going to be released??

I'd guess around 2015 some time.

I'd say next at the end of next year or 2013 on the playstation 3 and xbox 360. Something leaked about the new xbox and microsoft said, "don't expect anything big until 2015"

The reason I said 2015 is because that gives them tot he end of 2011 to finish up Skyrim, then three years to develop FO4.

In all likelihood it'll be in the 2013-15 range. Anyone who says 12 is kidding themselves, as they are in fullscale development of one game and probably only beginning production (or preproduction) for FO4. That would give the game a year of fullscale development, which just wouldn't be enough. Especially if they are going to make it more unique and less reminiscent of TES, more so than FO3 and Oblivion. I think 2013 would be reasonable if the engine they made is efficient when building gameworlds and other things.

According to their normal development cycle, it's absolutely started development. Fallout 3 was in preproduction near Oblivion's released, and then entered full production when it was released. Same with Skyrim. So, feasibly, it is currently being worked on in some capacity.

They're probably thinking about FO4, but actual work isn't going to begin until probably December 2011 or January 2012. Not until after Skyrim is done and out the door.

Anything being done on FO4 now is just basic conceptual stuff. Plotlines, stories, features they might want, etc.

2013-2014 I'd say.
