Well there's the first obvious references,http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LCdLmSyoGc8/U8fTVd0Aj2I/AAAAAAAADLw/FZ-Ggc6yM_U/s1600/madmax4_movie3.png and the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Lightweight_leather_armor from New Vegas, and thehttp://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Leather_armorfrom fallout 1 and 2.

Also, Dogmeat is the same dog as Max's dog in the second movie (the road warrior), the one in that picture i linked above.

I also always thought thehttp://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Highwayman in Fallout 2 looked a lot like Mad Max'shttps://chivethethrottle.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/mad-max-interceptor-920-1.jpg. Obviously not identical, but im pretty sure it was inspired from Mad Max.
