Incredibly late to the party, I recently started my first Fallout 2 playthrough. Right now I have just finished the Vault City- Gecko questline, and I am a bit at a loss about what to do. Logically speaking, my character should head to NCR and Vault 15 in hopes to find the GECK; now, even if I ignored the fact that random encounters are massacring me and that I feel kinda underleveled (...or maybe unskilled, I'm level nine right now), I still feel like I'm rushing ahead and missing out on cool and/or plot-significant places. Will the story eventually lead me to Redding, Broken Hills or New Reno? Am I missing relevant content and doing the Fallout 2 equivalent of rushing to Vegas without checking Primm, Nipton and Novac?
