Fallout 4 Launcher Stopped Working on Startup

So, your game is crashing on startup in the Fallout Launcher with the message "Fallout 4 Launcher has stopped working". You've already tried installing the latest

graphics drivers. Nothing you do is fixing the problem and you just can't get the game to run.

Try this simple fix:

Run MSCONFIG, disable all Startup Programs. Also disable all Services except for those from Manufacturer Microsoft, NVIDIA OR Valve Corporation. Apply changes and Restart your computer.

If your game now works you will know that your HW, drivers, etc. are good. You've narrowed your problem down to a software compatibility issue.

You can now re-enable Services a little at a time restarting your pc after each set. After each restart, try to run Fallout. Be sure to test launching all the way into the game.

As soon as it no longer runs you will know the culprit which is the last Service you enabled. Do the same thing for the Startup programs once you have the desired Services enabled.

P.S.: In my case, the innocent looking "Process Monitor" service by Logitech was the culprit. Once I disabled it Fallout 4 worked fine.
