So I just finished installing the New Vegas ultimate edition onto my laptop (I plan to play on my desktop when I get it fixed) and I've run into a bit of a problem. From the launcher, when I click on Data Files and try to activate ANY of the DLCs that came with the Ultimate Edition, the launcher stops working. Immediately. I have no choice but to close it, and when I go back into Data Files, only the base game is activated, as it was before.

This isn't a huge problem as I'm only playing on my laptop for a short amount of time, but I'm wondering if there's a fix for this if it happens on my desktop (my laptop is freaking dumb, so it's probably not going to happen on my Desktop).

For some reason, I was able to activate them, but now when I try to play the game, it hangs as soon as the game starts. The screen goes black and the cursor changes to an hourglass. I have to use Task Manager to close it. Any ideas?
