Fallout 4 looks boring.

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 2:46 am

i read that Dice and few other company's / tech people said we hit graphics wall with battlefield 3 on PC im talking textures not filters/light effects and too push graphics look even more life like would drive up the cost creating them 5 too 10 times more money so basically since BF3 when have improving mostly lighting effects bump mapping and filters(AA,post processing HD Bloom etc) not Raw textures sizes and level of detail.

so yeah your prob never gonna see leaps like from SNES too N64 or ps2/xbox too x360/ps3 anytime soon unless these carbon nano tubes or future computer tech get way more powerful/cheap fast.

which why i think some people are so underwhelmed they think those kind of leaps are still gonna happen.

The original poster of this thread bashing on a game is your own opinion, why judge a game and its looks nothing like fallout 3 so i think you need to look into your info more clearly. You saying a game is bad isn't going to get you far on these forums.

It really depends on what you call boring. For me, walking around and talking to people while looking at things like I do in every Bethesda game is exciting. I have a daughter that plays online shooters that looks at me playing Skyrim and Fallout 3 while asking if I do anything besides traveling. Her shooters bore me to death.

I am 100% sure without a doubt that I'll be playing with a big smile on my face.

Bethesda don't have a good history of making great character animations nor having good "chargen" but there's no question they are improving in every iteration. In my view, within FO3/NV and TES, FO4 is looking like the most visually advanced game that Beth has produced. But let's hope there isn't a sort of "down-grade" when we finally get to play it. But THANK GOD for the modding tools!

I think the only thing I'm looking forward to more than playing FO4 myself is watching Gopher start his lets play of it.

I can already picture him picking up every single little thing not bolted down for screws and glass to craft with later only to miss the super-special-awesome sniper rifle on the shelf.

I'm hoping Jesse Cox plays this. Dude suffers from the same problem.

What I get from that is Bethesda actually listen to their community by pinpointing the popular, interesting mods and incorporating them into the next iteration of the series. The base building is definitely the biggest and greatest thing they've added to this game since forever...imagine what the modders will be able to do with it now it's officially supported by the game.

This is not going to be a boring game, it's going to be effectively endless now we can reclaim the wasteland.

I hope so as well, but the guy hasn't even beaten DA: Inquisition yet. I bet he plays FO4, but I'm going to give him a few months at least before I start to watch him play through. I much prefer to binge watch his stuff rather than suffer through the wait that can happen. :D

Not only is it going to be endless but you can build whatever you want to have a huge town guarded and crazy nut job raiders running in town with a balloon gun and a party hat telling you happy birthday from fallout 3 days, i could only imagine if no-bark was in this game he tell us you know up in the sky there's a giant beam blaster full of pancakes and eggs its how we get are breakfast in the morning on waking up in fallout lol

Meh. Don't buy it. I've been impressed with the worlds they build for a while now. No other developer can match what they or the modding community can create simply due to publishers and devs taking the cheap route to make easier cash. It would be nice for others to get close just to add some competition yet it just ain't happening.

What if Fallout 4 isn't boring enough? Explain your concerns.

It's so boring looking, I can see myself playing it for 1000 hours or more.... Damn you bethesda, for making an uninteresting game.

The original poster hasn't even responded, plus he has a picture of power armor on here, so how do you think fallout boring?

Could be, if fallout 4 boring i don't know what people think is so boring about it, haven't you seen what they did for us, worked on this game and paid attenion to peoples ideas and if they like your idea trust me they put that idea in their game or even a easteregg. I found it weird how people say this games, stupid, boring, but one thing no ones learn, how is it boring if it's not out yet? LOL

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't force it to drink. People have a variety of opinions, thoughts, and feelings... sometimes they also like to stir the hornets nests and rustle up some jimmies.

It's like a deer can hop over a fence but a bunny can go under the fence, there's two side tales to the story of the deer and the bunny. I thought it was weird how people think it's funny to insult people on this forum, i never come at anyone harsh, i don't see evil in my self to bash someone down, no point intended, nor do i like when people sit and bash someone down to hurt their feeling. If this op originally intended to just bash fallout off why would he post something like this? The world may never know until you get to the center of fallout 4.

If I had not seen or read anything on FO4 I would still buy it either on release or shortly after the first reviews. Why? Because I have enjoyed all Elder Scrolls and Fallout games of this type and have played them for hundreds of hours combined. I would just bet my money on it being fun based on that.

However I have seen the trailers etc and it looks far better than I would have guessed. OP, I'd wait until reviews are out or you can play it at a friends so you don't waste your money.

I've learned, through many years of gaming experience, to not judge a game that is not out yet.

I would highly agree on your post, because if you really think about how can someone judge a game without even playing it. It's like saying judge a book by it's own cover you never know what's in that book into you actually read it.

Why do improvements to graphics matter?

Why should they matter?

Ever replay a game? Has your enjoyment of it diminished because the graphics didn't improve since the last time?

Is it not possible to create an enjoyable experience without the latest and greatest graphical improvements?

Does the gameplay improve when that box of sugar bombs is textured in 1024x1024 vs 2048x2048 textures?

Does seeing goosebumps on skin enhance the combat?

Now I'm not saying everything should stay static and playstation 1 graphics were good enough. But I don't see the point in ribbing a game for having the same graphical level as it's predecessor.

Was the predecessor acceptable and fun? Yes? Then I'm up for more of the same, slap some new areas on, a new story and lets do it.

It doesnt. not for me. not after I enjoyed two worlds 1 not only were the graphics subpar but the frame rate was headache inducingly slow but for whatever reason I enjoyed that game soooo much Im hoping it and two worlds two get ported to xbox one as is and no touch ups.

I disliked the dialogue system in ME so I'm not loving that it's migrated into FO, and the faces are indeed fuggly. Fortunately neither are enough to deter me from playing. Mods will fix the graphical short-comings, and who knows, maybe after a few years somebody will replace the dialogue trees--although this would be a monumental task.
