Fallout media adaption.

I know Bethesda has trademarked the Fallout franchise as both a gaming and media franchise but I'm just not excited for a movie and I was disappointed by the script Interplay had written up when Interplay was in development of a movie back in '01. The script was just clichéd and wasn't good at all. Also, literally all movies based on games either turn out bad, or completely spinning off from the game series itself.

But a T.V. show would definitely work, I'm just thinking of this up on the spot but for all of you's who'd played Fallout 1, remember one of the endings were the Masters army disbanded and headed east-ish, well that could be a good setting for a T.V. series, The Masters army tries to set up again in some place and the plot starts with different characters, not just based around 1 character, so I'm talking about, you've got 1 guy who's got a story going on and at the same time, you've got another character's story going on and maybe a few more characters story, each characters story crosses another and goes separate ways again and each characters story crosses with another and eventually, each characters story sums up to a bigger one towards the end of a series, if you've played Lost Planet 2 there's 4 different groups of people, each with different stories and settings and in the conclusion, these characters all group up for the finale and finish the Over-G Akrid.

Also, who knows, maybe if a series did involve the Masters Army, it could explain how some of the Nightkin and Masters mutants reached New Vegas and maybe explain how the Vault 108 mutants started, also, it could set up a back story for the next Fallout whenever it may come.

Cheers lads.

Series would be better then a movie. Still would it be an animated or live action? As for your idea, I am not a fan of it. The Masters Army went east as far as Kansas. Dividing into many groups.

If a series was to be made it should be on an area of America we had not seen.

I am not a fan of a movie or series in general or even novels. Chances are it would be bad and just mess with Canon. For a movie I know who Bethesda will get to direct it

The only films I can trust people to make about Fallout are fan-films because most of them can actually get Canon right unlike some people who I refer to alot.

Who says it can't be made by fans? Remember Dragon Age? It had a fan made series with Felicia Day in it.

But if you can remember, Tabitha from New Vegas was part of The Master's army, so was Lily Bowen and Dog/God, how they got to New Vegas could make a good back story for these characters, they did separate into numerous groups and a story explaining why they went separate ways would be good.

And that's where I'm stuck at... Real life actors are good but you're going to have either special effects for the Mutants and mutated creatures which'll look goofy or you'll have it all animated which'll probably not feel very "Fallout-ish".

I am one of the few people who have enjoyed the majority of video game movies. IMO Fallout would be perfect for a movie or tv series. If it was a tv series I would prefer it be animated though. But for a movie definitely live action.

tv series for animation because it will be easier to make super mutants and deathclaws easier instead of just using computers to make it in live-action

but it can be cgi animation ?

I'm hoping for a live action TV series, I liked your idea with sone adjustments... When the Master's Army collapsed many sub factions were formed, it seems you are implying that they all stuck together, and if they made a show based on supermutants I would love it to be a geoup of five or six with all of them as main characters...

If they were to make a t.v show then there should be Super Mutants but no Brotherhood of Steel maybe enclave depending on what year and if it's set on the west coast

The Brotherhood of Steel are spread throughout America, it'd be stupid not to include them.

I would not want it as a TV show, nor as a Michael Bay film. If it were to be done at all... it should [IMO] be done by Terry Gilliam.

*As I recall, years ago he was interested in doing a movie based on DOOM (but ultimately did not), and we all know what the eventual Doom movie turned out like.
I think he (if interested) could really dive into the setting and likely be the best choice for this IP.

Again a group of the Master's Army Remnants trying to survive in a brutal, racist wasteland is my vote.

I vote yes and watch both.

A tv series would be awesome.

It could be animated, anime or live. Anime or animated would be best probabely.

They could put all of it in then. Not have to take anything out.

I think they would totally mess up the entire series.

Not if they get Tim Cain to write it up or Chris Avellone. :P
