Fallout Mod Detectives #2

Is there a mod that adds a nice house to paradise falls?

While playing an Evil character, I find Paradise falls to be my home area-- The people there are very nice to you when you're very evil.

ps, i saw 2 house mods in Nexus, but it didn't seem like they were given much attention. It's a shame Paradise Falls doesn't get so much attention >.<

There was this mod which removed all the useless clutter from the game.. I think that'd reduce lag and make my life easier. Anyone can link?

Is there and "instant close" mod for F3 that when you exit the game, it terminates the process like the Oblivion one? Can't find anything on TESnexus with the following keywords: Close, Quit, Desktop, Exit, Instant etc etc.

The hanging on exit has begun again xD.

I remember there being a mod in the works to make the lights on the helms of power armor actually work. I'd really like to get my hands on it if it was ever finished, though upon looking around, I was only ever able to find a tech demo of a working light.

Anyone know?

I'm looking for a mod that removes the blur effect from the character editor facegen screen. I remember seeing a mod like that once, but for some stupid reason I didn't download it then.

Mod for better companion control? Especially dogmeat.

Such that it offers hotkey style control of companion behavior.

Stand down (stop attacking) press 'O'.

Defend me press 'P'

something like that.

Any clues if such a mod exists?

thanks.

The best one, IMO, and not just a copy of someone else's is http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=998261&hl=.

Have a read of what he's done, what he's implemented regarding the vanilla followers and I think it covers what you're asking :)

Edit: Actually not sure about the hotkey thing, but it's still an impressive mod and if you don't have it you should get it :)

Is there any mod makes the minigun act like a heavy duty big gun. It just felt like an overgrown SMG for me at the moment :P

Still wanting to know if there's a mod that lets you find/buy DLC weapons in the Wasteland/on enemies/in boxes/whatever.

Any mod that modifies iXPBumpBase works fine with the DLC, including broken steel. The only thing is, you CANNOT disable it mid game. If you do, you could level up multiple times at once, and that can cause crashes. That happens without broken steel however. As long as you don't disable the mod midgame, it will work fine. I made a mod myself, just changed iXPBumpBase to 400, and have zero problems.

I remember I used to use a texture mod that made nuka cola quantum glow... like REALLY glow. It looked a lot better than the vanilla glow. I cannot for the life of me find it again after I reinstalled fallout. Anyone know the mod I'm talking about?

Is it this mod? http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1067

Also, about that levelling mod, if you enable it half way through at like level 10, will you de-level?

A friend of mine sent me links to a couple of screenshots...

and

I recognize what looks like the reinforced stealth suit, but anyone know where that texture for it comes from?

Also, what about that flamethrower?

Here for the armor texture:

Are there any really good quest and/or building mods I should download? I'm kinda interested in going to new places and taking new quests, as I seem to have been just about everywhere Bethesda has provided.

No offense but there are a couple of related categories on nexus that you could search through

New Lands
Quests and Adventures

No offense taken. I already have searched through there, though, like any reasonably intelligent human being.

Have you tried the http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5370 mod yet? Looks like some amazing work and I've read a lot of good things about it.

for more simple, but fun, mods...try http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2090, http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3373, http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3831, and http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5158

Hope that helps,

And . . . did you not see any quests? Were you not able to check the ratings or read the comments about them to be able to assess whether they were any good or not?

That said, a couple of good ones I know of are:

The Refuge (but sadly it seems abandoned and incomplete)
Darkness
Sasha Ashe companion has some quests
All of Puce Moose's quests (I think he has 3 or 4 out now)
