Fallout 3 Mod Detectives #3

As far as I know this has onlu been done for Feral Ghouls. MMM does arms, Saidenstorm's weapon effects (not current version but in development) also does legs. But again, only for feral ghouls. Probably animation limitations I would guess.

Thankies XD It's better than nothing XD

A mod that changes the look of the combat armor to that of the previous games. I've seen a couple on nexus, but neither really does the job well.

Since you did't specify which ones you looked at it's kind of hard to answer your question. Tell us which one's you've looked and I can tell you if I know of any others.

Saw a mod awhile back that disable the scrollers from the opening menu, but I can't find it, anyone know it?

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2094 has this function from the contained program http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=999, which disables the scrolling screens where ever they pop up, such as when loading the game, and when loading a new cell.

Um, 20th Century is the only mod adding a 40mm fully functional M79 "Thumper" using cALIBR 40mm Grenades, though STALKER mod (Addon) might have one, but it changes vanilla leveled list to remove certain guns. And to be perfectly frank, I hate the Chinese Assault Rifle change they did(it's a AK-47, but blocky and useless).

Is it really the only one? I'd think an M79 would be popular among modders. There's about 50 M4/M16 variants... ;)

Thanks for the info though.

'ello everybody. I'm looking for texture\model replacements that add some HD stuff to the game, like Water Bottles 3000 and Aqua-Cura 3000. Cigarette packs replacements, beer bottles, in short, for everything that's [censored] in game

I am renewing the request. I already got meself cigarette packs, and now i'm looking for alcoholics. I used some nifty uberpack about half a year ago, but now i reinstalled Fallout and lost all the mods.

I can't find the M79 in that mod, neither in the files nor in the ESM/ESPs. There's screens of it though. :mellow:
Of course, the Nexus forums are on strike, so I can't ask the author directly.

I've been looking around on FO3Nexus and I've scouted out a few mods similar to what I'm looking for, but each that I have found seems to go off on a tangent, in my own opinion. At the moment, I'm looking for a mod that adds some form of an organized group that roams the wasteland, and is hostile to both the player and, perhaps, a limited number of various other factions. If you're wondering, I do have MMMRC4, and I've opted for the Increased spawns .esp. However, it doesn't do much in the way of adding many more combat ai, and those larger battles you encounter in the game are few and far between. I have even tried the Increased Increase Spawns .esp, however at times I find it TOO overwhelming, so much so that I'll be forced to turn my game down to normal or easy, sometimes even very easy. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking for a challenge, but not something that is guaranteed to kill me.

So far I've looked at mods such as these:
[src="http://"http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7978""]Zombie Invasion[/url]
[src="http://"http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7172""]Nazi Zombie Invasion[/url]
[src="http://"http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5879""]Behemoth Invasion[/url]

I have given all three a go at separate times, but I feel as though the Zombie Invasion type mods have been played out. They're excellent mods, but I'm looking for something a bit more original. As for the Behemoth Invasion, that one is the most outlandish of the three. No comment. Any other suggestions?

what is wrong with turning your game down to normal? that is how it should be played for a balanced challenge. bethesda thought otherwise, but the point of balance mods is to re-optimise the game for folks with a mouse instead of joysticks

play MMM with increased increased on easy

problem solved

You're best bet is to look under the "Factions/Guilds" category on the Nexus.

Been there done that man. I know what you're saying about Bethesda screwing up with the balancing and such. But I don't want it to go to the next extreme. I don't want to be able to kill someone with but a single shot, and then it takes them well over 100 rounds to take me down.

Is there a mod that allows you to take over Calvert Mansion? Like, I found out that
***SPOILER****
No matter what you do, the mansion blows up. I want to keep it for myself though. Is there a mod that lets me do that?

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find the ghillie suit from http://img359.imageshack.us/img359/2109/ghilliesuit.jpg image. The image is a screenshot I took from a video posted by Alexscorpion in his http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1020638 thread. I asked in the thread but got no response.

I'm not sure but check Alexscorpion's Sniper Gear. Personally, I think CRI has a better version (which, to my knowledge Alexscorpion did the textures for). http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/5717-1-1244505174.JPG

Is there some mod that actually reduces encounter frequency? In vanilla I found the wasteland was more like a pre-rigged safari trip and MMM has made it even more so (although at least now they also fight each other - not just me), but it's happening way too often IMO. Is there some variable I could change to alter this or is there some mod that does this in a friendly/compatible way? I don't mind having a worthwhile encounter every now and again, but witnessing or getting involved in skirmishes every 2 minutes kinda kills the immersion factor of being in a wasteland.

Any idea about this one?

Still wondering if there's a mod that lets retailers sell DLC weapons/items in the Wasteland or lets you find them on corpses, provided, of course, that you have the DLC.

Wondering if there's a post-BS mod that lets you alter your skill points past 100. I know there's one from before Broken Steel, but I don't know how well the two work together.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I cannot find an active thread for the Fallout Mod Manager.

Is it that the only place to make requests and ask questions is here: http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=897733 where you have to sign up (to yet another forum)?

Does anyone know if FOMM can export OLOD type files like OBMM does (files that resort mods based on a template saved)?
So far I can only find export load order as a text file - not quite as slick.

also does anyone know how to get FOMM to stop saving readmes in the data folder (I'm spoiled by Wrye Bash/BAIN and want them in Data/docs folder instead).

If this was way off topic - sorry.

Hi, just got Fallout recently, and one thing I would really like to be able to do is dual wield pistols. Is there any mod that does that?
