Thankee kindly, sera.
Any chance you'll update it to include a way to scrap most things? I'm always in need of scrap metal, and I run across a lot of non-vanilla guns in my travels. Anyways - it does a majority of the guns ingame, so I shan't complain. Awesomesauce indeed.
Well, that would be difficult. The main problem is that to do that, I'd have to use repair lists rather than making lists myself. This could work well, if I include a list of all possible vanilla junk and specify that things can't be in that list to qualify for dismantling, but it'd still fall foul of things that have new repair lists and I wouldn't have any control over yield(I don't know whether someone's added a junk sniper rifle or a Bozar to the sniper rifle repair list) so I'm wondering if it's worth the effort. Once I've finished adding the vendors and power armour research quest, I'll see about about adding it in spite of the issues. If you really need that much Scrap Metal, I don't see why my mod would conflict with the Wasteland Workshop, so anything Metal Salvage can't scrap, that should do, from what I gather, and you'll be reducing the weight of your loot in the field by scrapping vanilla gear.
But don't worry, between getting 10 Scrap Metal from dead robots, an average of 5 from Enclave armours and a little less than that from generic power armours, plus the metal from the recon armours you get from them, you'll never run out(New in the latest version: Outcast power armour yields Outcast recon armour, which is otherwise unavailable). I have literally thousands of Scrap Metal now. There's also a pretty obvious exploit where you buy low condition stuff from vendors just to scrap it. It's usually more expensive than buying Scrap Metal when it's available, but if you're using it to repair stuff or putting it in the ammo press, you'll be making huge amounts of money from it anyway. The next version will include a new perk that lets you do a variant of dismantling where the Scrap Metal is pressed into ammo. I'm not sure how to balance this, but it's not as if vanilla is short on ammo and you'll have to be an Outcast ally to get it.
