Fallout 3 Mod Detectives #4

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 1:03 am

While I was using FOOK2 (I use FWE now) I saw a raider with a bunch of face piercings, but searching nexus bring up nothing, anyone know where I can find this alone from FOOK2?

Kikais Equipment. http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4616

FOOK2 has or will have that ability.

There are numerous other "recycle" mods on nexus, try an advanced search and in description search for "recycl" without quotes

There used to be a mod which replaced FO3's ambients with the musics from Fallout 1 and 2 (or was it a radio station?)

Could anyone locate it for me? I couldn't find it.

Does that add the items to the loot lists?

Hi.
I am looking for a mod that can change in-game physics. I don't want to make game more realistic. I want to make game more fun.
Mod should make bodies fly higher after being hit by for example a grenade.
I saw mods that make physics more realistic, but what I want is opposite.

Thanks in advance!

There a mod to break down items into say, scrap metal and such?

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, I get to answer a question with one of my own mods:

Drop pretty much any metallic vanilla armour or weapon on the ground and try to pick it up. As long as you have the Salvage Wrench on you, you'll get an option to dismantle it. Has the advantage over the Wasteland Workshop quoted above that you can do it anywhere, such as scrapping power armour and other high-weight gear after clearing out an Enclave camp. Bad news is, it's done using form lists rather than WW's weight based system, so it's limited to generic, vanilla equipment, but I tend to think that if something's rare, it's more likely someone's going to accidentally scrap it and get annoyed than get annoyed by not being able to scrap it. These functions are all part of a larger mod, but the other bits are purely optional.

Just starting a new one...

Now for what I'm looking for...

I saw this screen on the nexus http://fallout3nexus.com/imageshare/images/1031637-1250416964.jpg and I was curious where the scarf and cape came from...

what is the giant red thing on the ground?!

Is there an online Fallout mod?
I'm not quite documented, but I heard the team that made Oblivion Reborn made one that was "Supposed to be implemented quickly after Fallout's release".
I'd be willing to set up a server...

Well NillaCakester is working on a Chat Program that will allow you to chat inside Fallout 3. If I knew how to post links I would, but since I don't enter "NillaCakester" in the search box in the Fallout 3 mods forum.

No. Fallout 3 cannot become an MMORPG at will.

Somebody mentioned in the Fallout General forum in the Multiplayer topic that supposedly someone was working on one. That somebody paid a modder/s a $1,000.00 to create a coup multiplayer mod. Now that was a while ago and how true any of that is I have absolutely no idea. However I wouldn't expect a coop or death match mod anytime soon.

Thankee kindly, sera.

Any chance you'll update it to include a way to scrap most things? I'm always in need of scrap metal, and I run across a lot of non-vanilla guns in my travels. Anyways - it does a majority of the guns ingame, so I shan't complain. Awesomesauce indeed.

Well, that would be difficult. The main problem is that to do that, I'd have to use repair lists rather than making lists myself. This could work well, if I include a list of all possible vanilla junk and specify that things can't be in that list to qualify for dismantling, but it'd still fall foul of things that have new repair lists and I wouldn't have any control over yield(I don't know whether someone's added a junk sniper rifle or a Bozar to the sniper rifle repair list) so I'm wondering if it's worth the effort. Once I've finished adding the vendors and power armour research quest, I'll see about about adding it in spite of the issues. If you really need that much Scrap Metal, I don't see why my mod would conflict with the Wasteland Workshop, so anything Metal Salvage can't scrap, that should do, from what I gather, and you'll be reducing the weight of your loot in the field by scrapping vanilla gear.

But don't worry, between getting 10 Scrap Metal from dead robots, an average of 5 from Enclave armours and a little less than that from generic power armours, plus the metal from the recon armours you get from them, you'll never run out(New in the latest version: Outcast power armour yields Outcast recon armour, which is otherwise unavailable). I have literally thousands of Scrap Metal now. There's also a pretty obvious exploit where you buy low condition stuff from vendors just to scrap it. It's usually more expensive than buying Scrap Metal when it's available, but if you're using it to repair stuff or putting it in the ammo press, you'll be making huge amounts of money from it anyway. The next version will include a new perk that lets you do a variant of dismantling where the Scrap Metal is pressed into ammo. I'm not sure how to balance this, but it's not as if vanilla is short on ammo and you'll have to be an Outcast ally to get it.

Fallen Paladin, http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1712 add-on has Kukris, I think.

There was a mod that prevented NPCs from saying stuff whenever your crosshair moved over things that belonged to them while you were in sneak mode. Anyone have any idea what that mod was called? I tried searching it in nexus but couldn't find it.

I've seen a couple of screenshots that seem to show additional, custom HUD elements (such as on-screen radiation level). What mod(s) add these?

I was looking for a mod that added a P90 like the ones they used in StarGate Atlantis. But when I searched I only got P90C BETA

http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2205

Which had a link for Fallout Weapons Restoration Project, which leads to a dead link. Does anyone know what ever happened to that project? Or know of a non-beta P90 Weapon mod?

Classic Fallout Weapons adds the H&KP90c, as well as many other weapons seen throughout previous Fallout games.

Anyway, I am looking for a mod that alters the Tunnely Snakes brown leather jacket into more of a grey, like the Fallout Leather Jackets.

Is there any mod out there that adds drunkedness effects? Like an ImageSpace modifier that blurs the screen, something that throws gun spread outta whack, and hikes up stats related to drunken brawling?

If not, I got some work to do...

Better Living Through Chems I think changes them to have more effects. It also adds new chems and allows you to weaponize them, so it might not be what you want.
