Fallout Mod Detectives #6

Anyone know of a mod that fixes running down slopes? Dogmeat looks ridiculous, and I keep getting hurt while running down the hill in Megaton because of FWE's increased fall damage.

do I just type that in the console?
Also another FWE question is tere a way to set the water radiation back to normal? If not I can live with it but I miss my swimming aorund without spamming radaway.

Yes, type "set aaibhspecialbonus to 1" in the console, im looking for a way to set water radiation back to normal as well

Search the Barge on the Nexus. If you aren't using Enhanced Weather (or if you're using it and not using radioactive rain/snow), it should be fine. It's clever in that it's a boat, so raiders won't spawn on it. You'll still have to deal with a few mirelurks and some raiders on an adjacent hill, but that's part of the fun. The reason I stopped using it was because it wasn't follower friendly in the slightest (they would just get stuck in the water) and Talon Company Mercs would just get trapped in the water (though it was fun shooting them like sitting ducks).

If you don't mind those two little problems, go for it. It's not a cheat house, it's pretty realistic. I would actually recommend putting some raider spawns around it because it has these cool little windows that open up so you can shoot through them. Plenty of storage and a workbench.

Wow nice mod, thanks for the info, with a little relocation and adding path grids it would be perfect for me

Calling out again for a dust storm type of mod, I'm looking for something that adds rare, but random dust storms. Hopefully something that's FWE friendly

If not that, any mods that add face coverings like masks, Shemaghs, and the like.

Thanks for mentioning my mod Cpt. Planet!

My request:

Does anyone know if there is a snowy ground texture mod that DOESN'T require O:A?

Search for TASKS. It adds tasks board all around with jobs.

Sadly, not that I know of. It does add jobs of it own however. And I'm planning on rewriting it. I've already got permission from the author. Including a tutorial on how to add your own quests.

I have already used the level and skill uncapper mods, but is there a mod for uncapping s.p.e.c.i.a.l. attributes?

It seems like downloading the High version doesn't require anchorage textures

Just patch it to 1.7 you can't play some of the DLCs with the older patches.

FakePatch might do that but seriously, get patched! Sticking with 1.0.x is fine (shooting grenades out of the sky in VATS), but any later and pre-current version? Asking for trouble.

Since the topic says something about detecting, I figured it would be the right thread to ask the following question:

Are there any mods that only change the way the pip-boy looks? Not the menu screen on the pip-boy, but the actual device. I can't tell you how many times I've hit tab and seen the buttons and text(stats, data, etc, the text above the buttons) look horrid and pixelated. I don't know if it is just the lighting or my resolution or what have you, but the pip-boy device itself looks bad to me.

-Antny.

I'd like anything Pre-War. Clothes, furniture, cars, buildings, anything. I've searched "Clean" and "Pre-War" on the Nexus but nothing much comes up. Or maybe I missed something. :P

Thanks. ^_^

I remember someone else asking this question, but I don't remember the response. Is there a mod that (or any way to) mark(s) the MQ as complete with all of the benefits (access to the Citadel and stuff, not exp or items)?

Does anyone know where I can find the .223 pistol? I don't want the massive pack that it comes with, and a stand-alone version of released but blocked from viewing. I was told the pack was implemented into FWE, but I don't see it at all.

Is there a mod stopping (or, ideally, making it more rare) Megaton settlers from approaching the PC to give gifts?

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10581 will move the gifts to a box. You can pick them up from there if you want them.
