Fallout Mod Detectives #9

All key only doors would have to be edited, but it is most certainly possible. You just can't unlock them anymore with they key. One could however, add a script that unlocks the door when you get the key. So, it could be made, I guess.

Uh, you've got that all wrong. If a door can be unlocked with a key only, and you decrease the level of the lock, it can still be opened by the key, but now it doesn't have to be.
Many doors and computers can be unlocked the hard way, but still have a key or code that allows instant access without a need for picking or hacking.

Does anybody know what happened to the most excellent 'Skinny' body replacer? I had to re-install Fallout recently and cannot find it on Nexus... has the mod creator pulled it permantly, or is there a mirror site?

You know the two ghouls making ultra jet in the metro station? Is there a mod that keeps the game from giving you negative karma for killing them? I mean they're drug dealers for heaven's sake! My character always kills them but I get a big karma hit when I do it. Makes no sense to me.

Are there any armor/clothing sets out there designed for the nerdy types? I don't mean in appearance, I mean stats. Things that give +energy weapons, science, or repair (preferably energy weapons and repair). I tried searching the nexus but the armor and clothing sections get clogged up with "xxx for body type y."

I assume you mean the liberty prime/alien space suit ones. I was hoping for something a little more terrestrial :P

I'll go ahead and double post because meh.

Are there any male companions, aside from the "recruit various npc" mods? I want someone who's essentially...well, essential. I am trying to outfit my party with the Scavenger armors but the majority of them have no unique model for females but very great ones for male.

Edit: Tailor Maid has several shoulder pads, tool belts and other items which boost EW, Repair and Science. I suggest checking it out. You won't have to go around dressed like an alien or robot.

Bummer. So I don't want to force any locks open. That's why I would have preferred to have the locks set to Very Hard, so that it guarantees I'm nearly complete with the game before I can open those locks without a key (playing with Arwen's mod, I don't foresee being able to open Very Hard locks until the early 20s.

A mod on Fallout 3 Nexus was recently released.

http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14962

Changes all "Requires Key" locks into "Very Hard" locks.

Hope that helped.

You can do it yourself, it really is quite simple. You fins the NPCs in the GECK and change their karma levels to "Very Evil". If you got no clue, after you kill them, go into the console and type "Rewardkarma 1000" Should undo what the negative karma did and give you a positive reward :)

Anybody know of some good mods that either expand the Outcast presence on the map, or add in some quests to do for them?

does anyone know where to find the mod that replace models for some of the unique weapons in vanilla fallout 3? its not UWWUT btw, it adds new models to the vampire's edge, terrible shotgun and a bunch others. Having trouble finding it on nexus and on these forums, any help would be awesome.

Been away from fallout for a while, trying to set back up my mods and everything so I can play again.

Had a mod way back when that basically took the maximum range off of the guns in the game. Allowing you to shoot (at) basically anything you could see without the bullet simply disappearing after a set distance.

Can't seem to find that mod, or another that does the same thing, so I'm coming here for help.

Bonus: Also seem to remember a mod that made the pipboy light function more like a flashlight, would be wonderful if I could find that as well, but its not nearly as important.

Thanks in advance!

Helmet Lights http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6211
Directional Piplight http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9084
Flashlight http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15003

I personally recommend Flashlight. :)

There was a mod i had for awhile before switching computers that made prewar books turn into a real title book after you picked it up, i tried searching Fallout3nexus, but didnt find anything, anyone know where it is, what it was called, or if it was taken down. i think it also let you destroy books too.

Thanks in advance :)

Sounds like http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4318. I don't think you can still destroy the books though. The author has reworked the mod.

is there any alternative Citadel Access mod to Open SaysMe? As it is Open SaysMe has a bug which caused Dr. Li to appear in the Citadel pre-maturely which is frankly quite annoying. anyone know of anything?

Open Says Me is the only one I've ever found. The point of using the mod is to get into the Citadel and bring on the Enclave without having to play the Main Quest so why is it so bad that she's there?

she has no reason to be there. and there may be a desire to do the main quest later but get access to the Citadel Early for Roleplay reasons (commander of the TSC and Faction relations sort of thing. as well as access to an anchorage mod)
