Hey

I would suggest arcoolka for his outstanding work on http://fo3settler.webs.com
some might say he has redone Fallout 3 both in genera and gameplay.

I would suggest watching http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0bJ7CbTm0w&feature=player_embedded video

Current website: http://fo3settler.webs.com

I too would like to see arcoolka interviewed. His mod http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/top/ on Fallout3Nexus, and is the http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/top/alltime.php since the start of fallout3nexus! and his mod really adds a LOT to fallout 3!

I`d like to make some more suggestions.

Arkoola would be great, I`ve been working with him, making some destructable models for his ROTS mod. It`s a great mod and he`s a nice guy.

I`d also like to suggest Weijeisen, for his work with EVE. He`s been a friend for a while now and is also a really nice guy and funny too.

Take care

You guys are renowned for making good game, and if you really like perfection, new feature and hell of fun factor in game, YOU MUST talk with Arcoola, because this guy did what i call a marvelous job with your game, why? because it simply add soo much stuff you guys im sure didnt even tought it was possible with the current engine. Having him in your rank would be a massive thumb up for yourself, and yes i do vote for him because on innombrable mod this one is simply the largest and the most complex i saw so far. I even find myself comparing his work with some of your add-on and ou guy had time and were paid to make it, he wasnt paid to make the RTS addon and he did a job bigguer than some of your add-on. Interviewing him and you could learn something or at least make him more renowed for his damn good ability.

Have a nice day.

Edit

Forgot to add, Fallout 3 is nice, with add on even better, but once you did everything you are kinda stuck with nothing to do, while with RTS mod, the game is limitless to a degree because there is mostly always something to do or to improve, to do everything the mod has to offer simply add coutless number of hour, i played his mod and even after a week i didnt even scratch what the mod had to offer.

I would also like to give my endorsemant for arcoolka and his highly innovative mod Real Time Settler. While it is still rough around the edges, the concept is sound and proven by this mod. It has attracted many other modders to expand on the concept, and arcoolka is even now making changes that we would expect in an true RTS game, such has buildings with hitpoints that are destructable and repairable. It even allows one to test one's build by adding in configurable raider spawns.

An unanticipated new direction for an already splendid game.

I'd like to suggest J3X for his very well known mods, including his http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6005 and http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1410 mods.

Having worked with Weijiesen in the production of EVE and having had some sneak peeks at other things that he's been working on as well, I'd have to second Skykappa's recommendation there. Jiesen does what he does with a very high skill level, and still manages to improve his work day by day. He hasn't failed to impress me yet.

Skykappa, as well, does what he does very well. While I don't play enough Fallout 3 to have experienced any of his recent work first hand, the sample videos that I've seen have been very impressive. Oh, and of course there's also http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/4100/cipscishat.jpg and http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/8328/cipscisjacket.jpg.

I haven't really had much of a look at the work of either arcoolka or J3X, although I've been meaning to for a while. If half of what I've heard is true, both of these guys would excellent candidates for an interview on Bethblog.

My vote goes to Arcoolka. His mod is so renewing, original. You can build almost anything. Whenever you think like wow man this would actually make an awesome home. You're just able of making it!

Sadly, Both J3X and more recently http://fo3settler.webs.com/apps/blog/show/2006212-this-is-the-end-my-beautiful-friend-s- have both retired from Modding Fallout 3. They will be missed! Good luck to you both my friends with whatever you do! Hopefully we see you back here with TESV.

Hopefully Arkoola will give an interview so he can go out with some flair.

I'd personally like to nominate Yevic and Bond, who are both active in Oblivion and Fallout 3 modding, plus Tarrant and DRG6520, who are doing some pretty amazing stuff with companions. I second (third? fifth?) the nominations for the OBSE/FOSE crowd.

Tarrant Tarrant Tarrant.

EDIT: Let me sell this to you guys at Bethesda. I feel the need.

This guy Tarrant, he's not your average modder on these forums, he felt a calling to fix a common complaint among gamers playing fallout 3, and that is the followers.

Would you believe he's never played Oblivion, or even Morrowind, he's gone from Black Isle to Bethesda and felt that it was his duty as a fan to, instead of mindlessly griping on the forums, but to open the damn GECK and make is complaint from a harsh reality into a bitter memory. I don't pretend to know about bethesda's interpretation of follower gameplay in fallout 3, but they were not a focus in gameplay and that's ultimately shown in the final product. It's my personal belief that compared to fallout 2, that is a bit of letdown, seeing as followers could be quite useful in previous games.

Ultimately, Tarrant tries to bring a new found focus into followers in Fallout 3, giving them a chance to shine and really be useful to the player, with more personality, more commands, and not just an "NPC accessory." He's been able to do so much with vanilla scripting I can hardly fathom it. The skill Tarrant has to script combat behaivor speaks volumes about his ability to mod alone, but being able to apply that to 10 or so individuals and have them fight in concert, all while keeping the general idea of cooperation to ensure the PC's survival, by applying stimpaks to him and focusing on high DPS dealing enemies is a sight to behold in motion. If you're using any version of Martigen's Increased Spawns, Tarrant's revised companions are more useful than anything in the wasteland.

And not just followers, but ultimately a major quest chronicling the lone wanderer's adventure post-PP Activation, with new NPCs, and a full sized military base for the player to own. It's a masterpiece and something few could achieve by themselves. I think Tarrant's story would be one to learn from, and I think putting it on BethBlog would do it some justice.

I'd also like to nominate myself, if that's allowed. Does being in the top 10 of the most downloaded mods of all time, and currently the #1 in the Nexus top 100 count for anything? Does being a complete beginner to modding and Fellout being my first big mod help too?

If there's anyone who needs some encouragment, it's people who haven't modded before. People like me, who just wanted to change something to what they liked a bit better. Hell, I didn't even think it was worth releasing to begin with, but now it's one of the must-haves for a huge number of players.
