Fallout 4 Mods - Requests, Ideas, and Suggestions Thread #2

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 6:41 am

I was hoping there was a thread like this.

Something is need to make Dogmeat sound like a dog running and not a galloping horse (which kind of freaks me out when I hear it because I think a big bad is on the way). Maybe with a little clipping of the nails. And something to make him sound like a dog instead of a grumbling old man.

In the building area, beds with sheets. Walls and roofs without holes.

Toggle aiming is the dumbest thing I have seen in any video game. I have only played like 1 game where it was a mandatory control setting, and it immediately turned me off the whole experience.

I'd like to see a mod that changes Dogmeat's texture to make him other breeds of dog.

Would be the best to make him the same as my doggy :)

A mod to stream music from Pandora or iheart radio or whatever other radio stations or be able to listen to music from iTunes or from whatever music app....the one thing im so sick of is listening to the same 20 songs over and over and over...believe me this was of complaint with Fallout Capital Wasteland and Fallout Mojave Wasteland for after playing 500 hours combined with both games listening to the same songs over and over gets sickening....I want to listen to 1960's 1970's 1980's 1990's rock music!!!!!!

I've noticed the waxy look of character faces on ultra settings. I'd like to see that fixed.

Right now my number one mod request is for a more PC friendly UI.

Number two would be a "slider" mod which allows the fine tuning of many of the game-play settings, such as availability of food, stims, ammo, etc.

Number three would be more recipes, more base guns and armor, and more interiors for buildings.

A convert all button on the workshops this way anything that CAN be broken down into usable crafting components can easily be converted into those components rather than trying to remember what breaks down into what it would make life a whole lot easier when having to bring mats to the outlying settlements from home

I know I'll be doing a few things myself at the least. A new radio station (not because I hate the current ones - just more variety), summon follower tool, and maybe, if we don't get something to overhaul the dialogue to actually show what you say and look decent/non wheel, then I'll go through and change every damn prompt to reflect what the player is really saying if I must. Skyrim had an INI tweak to change player prompt character limit - I assume and hope FO4 has the same.

New sitting animations so you can sit at a table with chairs next to you at the dinner table.

Put all of the armor pieces on your character, not just the vambraces or the bicep pads.

Putting your weapon in a holster and your weapon on your back.

Additional weapon storage data so when you switch weapons the previous weapon does not auto reload when re-equipped.

VATS weapon equip time so your weapon is not auto-equiped instantly when you use VATS with your weapon stored.

IF these have already been said apologies in advance

- A mod that removes collisions from buildings and makes the snap mechanic work better. Basically fixes building a lot. For example its hard to make a wall around youre base because it keeps snapping to the wall behind it and you cant put doorways inside your house.

- a better saves file thing (so if you have multiple characters its easier to select which one)

- a One Punch Man glove in there (from the show, 1 hits one enemy and makes them explode)

- Better raids on your settlement and or have enemy settlements that you can raid

- a mod that doesnt make ragdolls despawn (the prizes i brought back to my base just disappear and its really annoying)

Thats a

I got a list too!

1. Gloves as it’s own piece of apparel.

2. Cover system. (Enemy and allied NPC's can take cover why can't the player?)

3. Dodging or evading.

4. Missing or disappearing items fix. Ability to lock items in place so they don't disappear or fall off.

5. More construction options, ability to unlock or scan furniture you find and then build it (Vault dressers) I wanted some traffic cones in my house so I had to drag them from Red Rocket.

6. Two player co-op. (just 2 players, not asking for MMO or Deathmatch)

7. Door locks!, Npcs keep coming into my house, I don't want to kill them.

8. Ability to scrap from inventory.

9. Ability to scrap anything in the wasteland.

10. Ability to rotate items while using the "Grab" function.

11. Ability to clean up debris, shrubbery, leaves, broken tiles, dirt piles etc.

12. Repair houses. I see NPC hammering on stuff but the houses always look the same. Make it so that gradually preset homes start looking a little better at least more patched up.

13. Ability to remove any object in the settlement area like bathroom hand rails, towels, shower floors, kitchen islands, etc.

14. Ability to build armor stands (mannequins) and weapon racks, tool racks, etc.

15. Ability to assign settlers to other furniture and have things display the name of the npc assigned.

16. Ability to move NPC or reset them if they get stuck.

17. Ability to fix up small vehicles like bikes.

18. Fly Verti-birds and store things in them, part them anywhere and they don't disappear.

19. Ability to assign patrol paths to settlers (weapon in hands).

20. Ability to breed or find dogs and assign them to patrolling settlers.

21. Ability to view holstered weapons on the characters side or back.

Institute themed power armor. Doesn't have to be a complete redesign just something to the effect of a clean look with the neutral colors of the institute.

...maybe the ability to banish a settler, so that then you can kill them safely.

On the subject of defining your settlers, how about the ability to assign beds? I went nuts building some sweet post apocalypse pads and nobody is even going into them, much less sleeping in them.

There is actually a first person cover system in the game, though I do not know how effective it is.

But go press yourself up against a corner and aim down the sights, your character should lean around the corner for you to take a shot.

This could be made pretty easy using an trashcan object. you stuff everything you want to break down into it, might have an option to remove all trash.

Other option to remove all but valuable trash as some is better to sell. Also remove raw food who might go directly to crafting inventory.

On exit or use of option all relevant items including weapon and armor is broken down might also move to crafting inventory.

This is mostly useful then building stuff at other settlements and its easier to bring raw materials than various stuff who is broken down on use.

Reminds me a bit of my alchemy chests in Skyrim, scans for objects in look up table and move them.

I would love to see them add a multi-player option to the game so i can do some questing with a friend!!This game could be so much better if it had some online options to either play with a friend or a stranger.

I personally would love to see a co-op mod but I know all too well the history of such mods from Morrowind onwards. Skyrim Online (the newest version) is as close as its ever gotten.

-Would live to see the option of cloaks for you and your power armor. More accessories in general would be awesome that includes under armor.
-Also the ability to make your own ammo (reloading bench) and convert junk to ammo. This would make it so you are completely self sustaining.

Be able to assign settlers to different settlements ... if you have a dinky settlement, why not move the inhabitents to a more thriving settlement and trach the useless one?

Name settlers or have names randomly generated.

A combination armor/packs for Dogmeat (I don't even want to think where he's putting the supplies I trade him)

A way to track which settler (hopefully now with names) is doing and where.
