I dream that there is a nightmare haunting the outskirts of Boston. One that is so frightening and large that every single living being is consumed with fear and not one of them can escape from its terrifying grip on the mind. The freak of torment with a mind too sick for even the super mutants was exiled by his kind. In isolation his ill mind fell deeper into insanity consistently creeping further into a form unreal to anyone in this dimension. Despite his vast collection of victims the lone mutant was constantly in fear himself, worrying about his health and safety in such a way that almost made him seem normal to the other paranoid people in the wasteland. Feeling his safety was in jeopardy he decided he needed to do something about his dire need of food, shelter, weapons and armor. He then robbed and murdered his fellow super mutants, soon revealing the distance between his level of sanity and that of others. Without the necessary welding skills the monster found himself with a pile of dead bodies, broken weapons and armor he could not use. Therefore the freak decided to take the flesh of his victims and sew it on to his body with the broken pieces of armor clumsily protecting his body like loose puzzle pieces underneath the layers of flesh. With metal sticking out between parts of his flesh which has a mix of scaly blue, thick green, and soft pink and brown skin, with a few spots of fur, the trophy armor made him look like an experiment separate than that of all the other mutants. If found by a cannibalistic version of the soul survivor he may join you as a companion and teach you how to make flesh armor of your own. I also would hope the super mutant out in wilderness of the Bostonian Wasteland might have something like a harpoon gun to shoot at you and drag you into his hunting blinds to give the game another super scary aspect to it. I would love to be roaming the woods at night and then suddenly see my character’s body shoot through a marsh or muddy ground as he or she is being dragged to a battle to the death.

Anytime I see people asking suggestions for mods for Fallout, I am actually reminded of something that happened in real life.
During the days of the cold war, and the Cuban missile crisis, my grandfather was so worried about the end of the world that he went out, and purchased a reproduction of a .60 caliber Kentucky long rifle. It was a flintlock.
He then took the time to very carefully carve out the formulae for making black powder on the fore stock of the weapon, and then with equal care on one side of the butt stock he carved out places to look for the ingredients for that recipe.
When his sons asked him why he would bother with something like a flintlock when they all had rifles, he told them "It's not for you, its for my great grandkids. You have bullets, pretty sure their gonna be lucky to find horsecrap."
Since then I been waiting to see mods developed that showed that same sort of practicality.
I look forward to removing the 360 spin that may occur upon death like Skyrim had... Again for immersion sake, lol. As a modder myself, I'm super stoked to play with the new and improved Creation Kit! I've got some secret gems hidden up my sleeve but I must keep that secet for now, hehe.

... you crossed the line pal!
Never shall the two universes collide in such a horrible way...
Old dirty b....... here i want the nvde skins asap for Fallout 4
I don't understand whats going on here at all.
I will practically beg any mod maker to do a death alternative mod. This is a mod for hardcoe fans and may not be for everyone but one of my biggest pet peeves of open world games is that there is little to no consequence to dying. Just go in, try to kill an enemy, if you die, meh, just reload. A death alternative makes is so that you never technically "die," but rather you're "knocked out," and when you wake up you find yourself in very compromised position(s). You're stuff may be gone, you may be held captive by bandits or super mutants. Perhaps someone is selling you into slavery. Maybe you were left for dead out in the middle of nowhere, the possibilities are truly endless. This works exceptionally well with a hardcoe mod/survival mod.
This adds so much to the game because it makes dying something that you try your best to avoid. There were times in Skyrim where I was forced to run from an enemy and the chase was so intense because I didn't want to have my stuff taken from me. You're always given the option to track down your stuff and that can become a quest in and of itself. One of my most satisfying moments in Skyrim was when I tracked down a bandit maurauder who had stolen my favorite sword for me. Killing him and reclaiming my sword was an awesome moment.
I would like this, but I'd prefer a death/knockout roll chance, meaning there is still a possibility to die, I think it would be interesting 4 a one live play-through.
I'd be good with that as well I suppose. Maybe have an option to select a mod with or without dying. I just thing Fallout lends itself to some terrific scenarios for being knocked out. And again, more importantly, it makes (me at least) it so I'm much more careful before engaging an enemy.
Throw in a autosave after the knockout and I can see death being took very seriously.
Who else thinks that a mod that takes place as the title implies "Before the Nukes" ? The story line would be that its like normal life and you have to deal with family issues while trying to save the world from china and Russia from nuking the US. The main enemies would be bullies and you can only hurt them but not kill them and if you hurt them you get sent to your room. As the game progresses you get little news flashes that are saying that china has gotten a hold of one of our nuclear ICBMs and reversed engineered it and are planning to launch them on america and if you fail to stop china from launching the missiles it goes to normal fallout.
Who else thinks that a good Fallout mod would be in order!
I think OP meant something like F3 beginning... where you are child growing up with certain quests at certain ages... a kind of introduction to lore. Maybe you start as a child doing some simple fetch quests, newspaper boy or something And as you age the quests become more and more age appropriate. And at certain age you make a choice to join the military. And after some fighting missions and other lore introductions you end up at the beginning of F4. Where you have your own family. It would also be cool to have a story mission where you meet your wife...
I would buy the sh*t out of that dlc!!!
I definitely think there's lots of potential with a pre-war DLC.
