Fallout 4 mods

Then simply use other portals like nexus, they can not demand payment for mods.

Else how could you make an mod? Most mods, that is in numbers are personal config, tweak or cheat mods who is never published.

You would anyway need to test your own mods, how do you do this?

Last after the skyrim episode they know its shooting them-self in the foot with an fatman while standing on a pile of cars to try it again with the same formula.

To try to enforce payment will be more like using the deathstar for close air support :)

I want a mod that adds logical gates to some wireable object so that interesting behaviors can be cooked up.

Maybe they are in the game already.

Guns.

Edit: More specifically a Colt Single Action Army, AK-74, SPAS-12, and the return of the 12.7 mm pistol from New Vegas.

I want to see how the economy works. I am very leery based on previous Todd Howard comments about economies in Bethesda games. If it is sufficient, I would like to see it expandable to include trading with major NPC settlements, rival trade NPCs, claimable resources (coal mines, iron mines, steel mills, lumber, etc.) and the ability to create a manufacturing base. Yeah I know, it's Fallout not Civilization. I just think it would be incredibly nifty to be able to build and expand the Commonwealth as some sort of industrial baron.

I would like to see something like Falskaar was to Skyrim, meaning a fairly large additional world space with a lot of additional quests.

Depending on the armors in the game (really hoping Combat Armor and Leather Armor make comebacks) armor to fill that sweet spot between the padded vault suit and the walking tank (powered armor). I'd like to see the return of the Recon armor or a mod to do just that. Something a little more modern too maybe.-

Marts Mutant Mod FO4 edition.

Mutant powers a'la Bioshock Plasmids. Completely 100% lore violating and it would be the coolest mod ever.

A cyberware mod that adds visual signs of augmentation to the character model. And of course, usable by the NPCs. In fact, ripping out cyberware parts from the bodies of your slain might be ways to get the goods to upgrade your existing systems.

Visual overhauls to the powered armor. I want my Starcraft Space Marine, Iron Man, and other armor. Along with that, adjust the flight time of the jump jets. A configurable mod that allows everything from "boost to the top of that small building" to "iron man flight." Along with the obvious visual overhauls, I want sleeker, more modern looking powered armor suits that incorporate the existing mechanics. A redone HUD for power armor that is more holographic would be awesome. If integrated lasers or plasma weapons can be rigged into the power armor, I'm all for that too.

A pip-boy replacement with a more modern looking interface. Same with the computer terminals.

But mostly, I just want the frickin' game. I am going to play it without mods the first couple of plays through just to enjoy the game for what it is.

To be honest, I won't know what mods I'll want, until I know what I'm going to be given.

I download mods to satisfy a need. And housing mods? Pfft...I can do that myself now.

I don't even worry about mods until i've played through the majority of the content. I'll probably download mods that add in cool armor and weapons, and i'll probably download any good quest mods that i see.

Quest Mods are a big draw for me, because I've seen them done really well. But I agree. I play through what the game has to offer, and then, when I want Moar, I go to mods.

My list might be too long for something like this. However, if anything I end up talking about ends up as DLC, that would be the creepiest form of luck I'll ever encounter...

I would suggest perusing Nexus for mods that interest you, or maybe asking in a thread for some recommendations. Then you will discover why we love them so.

Been working on a mod off and on since FO3.. tried to port it over to FO:NV -> which failed in all kinds of spectacular ways, then tried to just keep it in FO3, but the game engine (and my scripting skills) just wouldn't allow for a lot of what I wanted to be built in.

So now I'm dusting off the resources I already had, looking tentatively at Skyrim's creation kit (in the hopes it'll be similar to the new GECK) and getting ready to redo the original mod, but now for FO4.

Here's hoping that the Dutchman finally sails

If not built into the Settlement building, a Feng Shui type mod would be nice.

I'll the play the game several times before even looking at the new modding tools. I assume there will be a console in the game? So probably start there. Most of the stuff I play with involve body animation. So i want to see what improvements have been made since Skyrim. I can already see much from the video.

But a huge question... can my hero dance? Can he sit and kneel without having to bend the knees in an unnatural way? Things like that. Also what about the flow of hair? In Skyrim hair was static. And about underwear; is the character nvde or in some kind of underwear (probably). That means modders have to deal with that too.

What about aging. I love to work on aging if that was possible in the game. Even the dog. That would be cool. If that were possible my first mod for this game would be "Get off my lawn!".

I'm excited. Should be fun.

Pretty much my feelings on the matter.

I haven't owned a PC for maybe 6-7 years and don't miss the mods on console.

I have no issue with people who mod or enjoy mods, that's just great.

But when I used to play Oblivion modded, there were so few mods that were up to standard.

Most were weapon and armour sets, nvde mods and re-skins of houses.

Many were weak, flaky, or conflicted with other things.

In the end I just kept improved weather, the mod that gives you candles and stuff for your house,

a cute sword from Kill Bill, a Lighthouse home in Topal Bay and a basic nvde mod because, er well, just because.

(default underwear was damn ugly)

I'm pleased that Xbox One will be getting mods because that process should shake out the poor ones

and I imagine that will leave a small number of top quality mods that will enhance the game.

Time flies no doubt old pal, glad to see you and your son are well!

Our oldest is 24 and in MARSOC, the rest at home are 14, 11, 7, and 5. Shockingly, I will be starting my junior year at college in a few weeks.

I started on the PC and got a 360 not that long ago. I do not miss the mods on the 360 and I actually prefer Oblivion on the 360 since I have native controller support and I love the potato heads. The only downside is the A-bomb, but I hardly get a character in hundreds of hours since I prefer to start a new character long before then.

I mostly play on the 360 now the two fallouts and the two TES games on the 360 and having a blast. Actually playing it on the console has given me back the feeling of how fun the games are in Vanilla and how I missed the vanilla feel. If I was only still on the PC I might not have gone back to the Vanilla game and just have the memory on how it was.

Mods are nice but they should be more like adding an extra cherry on top of a sundae.

In general, I love mods. JK's Skyrim has done wonders for my experience in that game. I'm not going to list them all, but I literally have ~180 of them right now. Most of them are small little tweaks, extra weapons and armor, and a lot of extra texture packs. I have a couple of major gameplay mods (SPERG, Dance of Death, etc) as well. The biggest (as in resource consumptive) "mod" I have is an ENB preset running. Made the game even more gorgeous.

Easy.

Character aesthetics.

Outfit/armor aesthetics.

Those are absolute "must" mods for me to actually "make any character I want and do anything I want" (i.e., actually make Bethesda's standard marketing claims a reality unlike vanilla assets).
