Fallout 4 mods

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 7:36 am

Yes yes, its to soon etc etc. Now that I have gotten that over with..

What mods do you want to see made for fallout 4(assuming the base game doesn't already do it)?

I will start off with...

Virtibird home.

bladerunner stuff - (Change some signs, add in a few flying cars.. and its bladerunner!)

Mad scientist - Same sort of mods that exist in 3/new Vegas. Make and control your own zombie/robot army!

None, like in hundreds of hours in 3/NV. I don't understand all the fuzz about mods. Last modded game I have played was GTA III and it was good and funny, but that was it..

New quests, new weapons, new armors, new voiced companions.. being able to fly in a virtibird and bomb people... Create new patrols of friends and enemies in the wasteland. (And see if they survive). Oh yes, and lets not forget *bug fixes*.

Honestly without mods Beths games wouldn't last two months on my computer.

Turn the Dog into a Wolf.

Player Blimp House that is fully functional and has fully functional Virtibirds docked onto it.

Mad Max flame guitar. Immortan Joe armor.

Most likely, what I'll want is a proper UI not designed primarily with consoles in mind, and pc as merely an afterthought.

Beyond that, it's really anybody's guess as to what mods we'll (likely) need.

Of course we'll still be needing an unofficial patch. It is still a Bethesda game after all.

New & free content, bugfixes, etc. Why do you think TES-series is popular? Because of mods. Beth-era Fallouts are no different in that regard.

well a safe little player home for myself of course :-)

edit: ...other than that, should fo4 not have some satisfying "onboard" solution for handling excess loot, a wasteland version of my "cache sacks" mod (portable and freely placeable containers) might be the first thing i'd do...

Mods are awesome. As for what I'd like to see? Alternate start mods, mods like project reality and fallout wanderers edition.

But what I really want are console commands and cheats.

The first mod will obviously be a nudity mod. It's a Bethesda modding tradition.

The interior and NPC textures in the trailer looked pretty bad IMO, very cartoonish. Texture mods are pretty much a must for FO/ES games. Also, it doesn't look like Beth is utilizing some modern dev techniques like tessellation to make the landscape and structures appear less flat and featureless in a lot of areas in that trailer. Hopefully, there will be another ENB/Project Parallax type mod created for FO4. It really did wonders for Skyrim's atmosphere.

At the moment I'm 50 - 50 whether it will be free new content.

Don't really care about player homes, but I'll be peed off if I can't make new critters for it. Skyrim Havok, :stare: .

Fallout 4 is going to need robust sock implementation, including knitting socks, darning socks, mismatched sock support, laundry/sock interactions (quantum sock theory), and so forth.

If the base game does not do this (which will absolutely cripple sales), then it is every mod-maker's sworn duty to remedy this within minutes of the game's release, on all platforms. Or else!

Even the nudity mods will benefit from socks, especially worn strategically…

Any mods that add real guns, ammunition, and armor into the game and any mod that increases my immersion. If you look at my mod lists in Fallout 3/NV it's all just that stuff.

EDIT: ...and of course that amazing RobCo Certified mod. Seriously, that mod is amazing.

As long as I am able to set up a settlement inside a Vault, modded or otherwise I'll be happy.

I'll bet you guys money that one of the very first ten mods up on the Nexus will be a nvde mod.

I'd like a new version of Project Nevada. Project Boston maybe.
A world of pain is always a favorite.
I'd like the Someguy series to make a return to the East coast.
I really don't see the need for any texture mods, but give it a few years.

Mods is an way to add to the game.

My funniest mod story dates back to Oblivion. You know that plants did not change appearance then harvested in Oblivion?

Now I almost posted on the Oblivion PC bug report forum that plants did not change then harvested after an reinstall.

Function became stock in Fallout 3 point lookout, default in FO:NV, more important in Skyrim as it has more plants.

You liked hardcoe in FO:NV multiple hardcoe mods for Skyrim.

Grenade hotkey, another mod who goes stock.

Now we don't know who new annoyances we get in fallout 4, the new dialogue system looks like an obvious candidate.

My first mods will probably be (Xbox One)

  • Make any and all unobtainable items; armor, clothing, weapons, etc, available
  • Retro Fallout item mods (Clothes, Armor, Weapons, etc)
  • Vault Home Mod.

On the PC likely play without any mods when I do get it. The X1 will be used for playing the game with mods when it is available since I will likely get the game first for the console.
