Do Bethesda intend to bring out a game of the year edition there are alot of rumours flying around ??

It wasn't game of the year so it can't just award itself a title it didn't earn.
But they might release a special edition with all the DLC on it.

Lol game of the year for FO3 is a title not just a name they gave it, but they will probably release all the DLC and the game in one, but not called GOTYE.

I think Jason once said that we will nto be seeing a special edition, if you want the DLC on a disc you have to manually put them on there yourself.

i only usedf the game year so that members would have an idea what i was after and the only way i could think of putting that across was the using "game of the year"
anybody would know that it is probly released way more than a year ago just from reading the back of the box

It HAS won GOTY, fun fact, doesnt have to be IGN, as long as some site for gaming calls it GOTY, that's all that matters. If a terrible series like God of War can win GOTY, New Vegas could definitely win GOTY

Didn't Red Dead Redemption win last year? Or are you just talking about in general.

In that case the GOTY accolade is redundant if it just takes one small site to award the title.
I didn't even know IGN didn't give the title so that was a fun fact
I was sure it only had Best Of E3 on the back of my box :shrug:

I've only seen people say Mass Effect 2 and Red Dead Redemption were the best last year.

Hope Skyrim is this year.

As for a link if you go to Bethesda's site and click on links they have a tab for New Vegas Awards and it's listed by at least four sites for GOTY and several more for RPG of the year. Personally I think they'd be missing out on a lot of money if they didn't make a game of the year version with all dlc considering there are many many people who do not like digital downloads and only want physical versions and many others who haven't even bought the game just waiting for the goty. I bought the original but no dlc as I have refused to buy digital since my experience with zeta for fo3. I love the fallout games and have ever since the first back in the 90's so I hope to continue to see the series for years to come

Plenty of honorable mentions or runner-up titles, but no GOTY victories.

You know that GOTY is not even a tilte, its not unique like the Oscar, or the Grammys,

Mass Effect 2 and Red Dead won them in last year I think, and NV got one, by PC Gamer

Well that's the point, most think including myself it's just a marketing ploy... it really doesn't mean anything. Game of the year is really a websites opinion...there are some who would say they hate New Vegas and many other(myself included) that would say New Vegas was the best game. In the end it's all opinion but I myself would love and am dying to have a version with all the dlc included since I haven't got to play any of them yet.

^^This. Bethesda/Obsidian just need one site calling FNV GoTY and done, they can label the edition that way. FO3 were awarded GoTY by Crispy Gamer Game Trust, Gamasutra, GamesRadar (UK), GameSpy, GDC Game Developers Choice Awards and IGN (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_of_the_Year).



Now, that's a game that trully deserves the title GoTY! Not only a truckload of sites gave the award, but two very respectable critics association also gave the game the award: Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences and British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).

The other title that won a lot of awards in 2010 was Red Dead Redemption.

They CAN make an RPG Of The Year Edition. But they won't, because for some reason obsidian hates making DLC easy.
