Fallout:New Vegas Achievements List

Post » Wed Nov 17, 2010 2:00 am

I like that they didn't have the side-quests as achievements. A lot of them are going to be faction specific and you could end up killing a lot of quest givers. PLus it saves more room for achievements like the 10,000 damage with blank ones. I'm looking forward to getting Blast Mastery.

theres an old song as an achievement on the list

There's a few of them. Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, & Elvis all have songs that are achievement names. I could be missing others.

It came across that way to me. Maybe I am over anolyzing, but either way, I still felt bad for Josh.

Yeah well don't get me wrong, I feel bad for some people at Bethesda as well.
With some of us elitists complaining about it's (fallout3's) lore or gameplay or just logic of the game.
The person who created MZ has also taken a lot of crap from us as well.
But one can't expect constructive criticism from everyone.
There's always going to be people who don't like what you do.

To be honest, apart from Mothership Zeta, I found no flaws in its lore. It didn't have things just magically happen. 'Oop, you leave the Vault, go to sleep, the entire East Coast is a pre-war utopia'

I found it's lore just as sound as Fallout and Fallout 2.

Certain main quests and certain sidequests.
Will be lots of quests without achievements.
So these one's must be important.

I'd like to throw in that I game on both PC and 360 and am happy to see the list. I'm noticing that "Games for Windows" logo so I assume that PC players will get XBLA acheivements, as with Fallout 3? I'd prefer getting this game on PC since I spent much more on it than my 360s and really only use the console for multiplayer stuff anyways. Getting a few avatar awards would be really neat too.

My only gist with these achievements is that there isn't one for every quest,
this makes me happy because it makes me believe that there are ALOT of quests,
but it makes me think I'll have to work extra hard to make sure I've beaten every quest every way.
Looks like I'll be printing out a GFAQS guide on my fifth play-through...

IIRC there are no avatar awards for New Vegas.
Only achievements and then there are the in-game challenges.

In-game challenges? Are they really in? I read about it before but I thought it was taken out.
I wonder how are we going to be able to see what are these challenges, like in the Pip-Boy or main menu.
I hope there are LOTS of them, it adds more things to do and take your time!

Really wish they could release a trophy list. Its always Xbox this, xbox that.

Are those snow-globes supposed to be like bobble-heads?

Well, with Bill Gates microsoft deffinetly gets more advertising...think about it, every game site your on when you click on a feature does it take you to the PS3 version or the 360 version? It takes you to the 360 version....even though when you watch the review it ALWAYS says that the PS3 version is better in one way or another, wether it be graphics or frame rate. Microsoft is the WORST thing to happen to gaming sents Call of Duty....... : :flamethrower::batman:
Batman was bill gates, and thats me with the flamer

I think it will be very much like how challenges in Borderlands were.

Can you explain it?
I'll be missing out on Borderlands GOTY, because of this game, and would like to know how the challenges are to increase my hype.

Awesome, I just hope it's more diversed.
Killing 1000 enemies with Corrosive weapons gets boring...

And I hope there are rewards too, if possible something else besides experience.

Edit:

Oh Ozzy, you acess the challenges on the Missions screen, there are lots of challenges, they are just like achievements but tracked in game rather than Xbox Live or PSN. It's simple stuff like "kill x enemies", they reward you with experience to level up.

So kinda like the Nuka-Cola challenge in F3, but tracked by the Pip-Boy?
I can see the amazing grinding potential now, but grinding in an open-world sandbox like Fallout is a positive...IMO.

Oblivions two game-breaking (IMO) flaws,
you never felt like you impacted anything,
you never felt you accomplished any achievement or effected anything.
Which is why people are disappointed with so few trophies, I'd rather have one for every quest in the game, or even for every 4 main story branches (Mr:House, Solo Courier, Casers Legion, and/or New California Republic) so that you'd be able to track weather you finished every quest or not.
We can only dream, and I see the flaw in having about 200 achievements for a game.
