Ever since the the 1.4 patch my fallout new vegas I have been getting over a form id problems. I decided that it was easier to re-install my game. When I tried to re-install the game steam would say that the steam servers are currently too busy and that I should wait a few minuets. I waited an hour and steam gave me the same message, after several more tries I figured it would be easier to install it with the retail disk. Surprisingly steam gave me the same message. I don't know if it is steam servers or my game being installed wrong. I kept a backup of my game just in case a problem would occur, but it seems like that wont work anytime soon.

Chances are that between Steam knocking the price of FNV down to twenty bucks and the new patch coming out so that many, many people are trying to do the same thing as you that their servers are being overwhelmed. The other day it took me hours just to get to verify. (Hopefully those hacker groups that have been in the news lately haven't diverted their attention from Sony to Steam!)

I have tested downloading another steam game and it worked just fine. It seems to only be with fallout new vegas
