You can't honestly believe that they'd cut out PC gamers. PS3 gamers, sure they've done it before but they aren't going to withhold DLCs from computer players especially since microsoft makes money from computer DLCs too. Besides, it'll probably svck.

It's to early to tell. I say wait 2 months. And then maybe we can tell Bethesda what we feel. But It is unlikely they will not release them for PC.
I know Bethesda would do the right thing, for the fans! :)

Honestly dude why do you think that?

As I said, I've been playing Bethesda games for decades, have probably invested 5000+ hours of my life into all of their games combined over those years. No one loves(loved?) them more than me.

Look at how they have been acting recently, forcing New Vegas out the door broken and buggy, being extremely slow on patches(They are the ones helping Obsidian, the ones deciding when the patches get sent out, etc), fighting with Obsidian over what can and can not be put in the game, forcing Obsidian to use the same broken engine without any improvements, Suing Interplay TO THE DEATH over Fallout: Online, Forcing DRM on their loyal PC fanbase.

They aren't the same company they were five years ago.

EDIT: HasNoStyle, not sure if that was a bad joke or what but I obviously meant a official gaming media source or a official Bethesda statement, not a person a few posts above/below you.

EDIT 2: They would cut out the PC gamers, for reasons I have already stated in this thread.

I think that because they have not proven otherwise. I have not yet seen any article where they claim they will not release them for the PC. So innocent until proven guilty,

Are you trolling? Are you serious? Are you drunk? A combination? Im not trying to be judgmental or blast you...im trying to figure this out.
+1 internets for getting me to bite if you're trolling. +2 if you've imbibed a little too much.

Q. Do you honestly think the dlc wont come out on pc?

Q. Why do/don't you?

Q. Any proof?

If this turns out to be true, scream loudly at Bethesda via the contacts page. 2K tried something similar with the DLCs for Bioshock 2 and there was so much criticism from PC buyers of the game they back-peddled and began working on PC versions. Still, I don't think its going to be a no-show for any platform - just may not arrive all on the same date. They have to humor marketing agreements with Microsoft in the form of press releases directly relating to XBOX from time to time.

So, Fallout: New Vegas DLC has been confirmed. It's also been confirmed exclusive for the XBOX360 on release (Sigh, thank's heaps Bethesda, I really appreciate knowing that after being a fan of yours for FIFTEEN YEARS that you still decide to shaft me for a couple of thousand from Microsoft)

What is more odd is that, while it has been confirmed for PS3 a few months after it is released on the XBOX360, it will NEVER be coming to the PC.

PC Gamers are left in the dust after decades of loyalty to both Bethesda and Obsidian. Rumour has it we won't ever be receiving the DLC(Nowhere states otherwise which is very unusual for something like this)

Scenario 1: Bethesda just seems to have left out details about the PC and the DLC will be released either when the 360 gets it or a few months after when the PS3 gets it.

Scenario 2: PC will never receive the DLC.

Scenario 3: Official DLC will only ever be released as part of a "GOTY" pack for PC players and we will never be able to play it any other way besides that.

Personally, I believe Scenario 3 is the most likely outcome.

For me, this is a step too far, one too many kicks in the shin, one too many low blows.

I have been playing Bethesda games since I was a little kid getting picked on at school for playing too many video games and this is how they reward me? Completely shafting 50% of their fanbase? I don't know what is going on at Bethesda at the moment but between them forcing Obsidian to get New vegas out the door too early filed with bugs, Them suing Interplay to the death probably killing the company, being slower than the PC community to release a patch to fix the horrible, game breaking, save corrupting bugs and this, well, something BAD is going on over there.

What happened to my favorite game developers? What happened? I can only hope that the fact the PC has been excluded from all DLC news reports is some blaring, silly oversight.

Bethesda if you read this and this is some blaring oversight, please, don't go with the extremely silly and ignorant stance of "just staying quiet" like you have about the patches, all it does is incite more bad feelings between you and your fan base.

They moved New Vegas to Steam for the sole reason of easier DLC distribution. Why would they all of a sudden not allow PC players to purchase the DLC?

It would seem as if Bethesda want's to "Balance out" the sales of the game on each platform. Think about it.

PC has mods, that is a incentive to buy on PC

Xbox360 gets exclusive DLC on release, that is a incentive to buy on XBOX360

PS3 also gets the DLC but a little bit later, not quite as good as the other two system's exclusives but it still has a huge advantage over PC in the fact that it will receive DLC eventually

EDIT: It's not "fair" to deprive PC users of official DLC just because we can use mods. Official DLC absolutely rocked my world in Fallout 3 and I loved every second of it.

Yeah sure mods rock too, but rarely are "completely seperate maps/new questlines" and such added that are good as official DLC.

So your saying Xbox and PS3 are getting unfair advantages over the PC because they get a few DLCs while the PC gets virtually an unlimited amount of mods?

I'm with the disbelievers, why else release the PC version with STEAM required.

What about the PS3 players? Only system Micro and Soft doesn't own. They did same thing with Modern Warfare 2's (overpriced and horrible) map packs, by making PS3 wait another month.

I'm very outspoken against DLC in general. I'm of the mind that if the devs couldn't fit in the damn game then save it for the next game or move on.. I don't need to see everything you came up with.
That said I am very hard to sell when it comes to DLC.. I wait until I know I'll like it and even then I might not get it because I feel like I'm rewarding these people for getting greedy. Even the best DLC that I've bought have left a sour taste in my mouth because its telling these people that YES we want you to charge us more for what should've been int he game already (Bioshock 2 anyone?)
The only DLC I've even bothered with has been Mass Effect 2 and that was because I was addicted to that game like crack (I do say that I am satisfied with Lair of the Shadow Broker)
This whole thing can just go away as far as I'm concerned and if its going to be exclusive to Xbox than great thats another excuse to ignore it.

I agree with this, I was especially pissed about how the middle of Assassin's Creed 2 was blatantly ripped out of the game and sold separately in 10 dollar installments.

With all the copies it sold on STEAM for PC it would be bat-crap-crazy not to have the DLC for PC as well. Profit margin per unit will be higher since there is no packaging to deal with. Just data over the internet.

Yeah, we've had more than a few of these "omg, xbox exlcusives..." threads, particularly when the press release came out a couple of weeks ago. This thread has a bit too much sniping and I have already had to delete a couple posts, so it's getting locked for now. Timed console exclusives are hardly an unheard of thing in this industry. No one here has any information as to what the plans are beyond the initial release.
