First off, hello, nice to meet you all.

Second, my friend was recently playing Fallout: New Vegas for the Xbox 360 and his game usually works for him. But recently my xbox 360 went through and did a few updates and now his game is glitchy. When he dies, no music plays, and now he's stuck where he'll level up, and it'll take 15 minutes for the window to pop up and he can assign points to his skills, but when he tries to choose a perk it won't let him choose one. They're highlighted, but when he pushes the button nothing happens and he can't click out of it.

He's never had this issue before and now, even restarting the game it's glitching out. I didn't know what to tell him because I normally play it on the PC instead of the xbox. Is it the game or is it the system that's having the problem? And how can I fix it? (I haven't played my xbox in a long long time so I don't even know what to do)
