I wanted to purchase fallout new vegas during the current winter sale, i put money in my steam wallet but when i checked the store it says that fallout new vegas is not available in the region. I am pretty sure that before steam added Rupees to its list of currency's it used to be available.

The same problem had existed during the october sale with games like skyrim and wolfenstien (just some examples) but they were then added during the sale.

So is there any chance that the game will be added for indian store during the winter sale ? I really want to purchase the goty edition (which is also not available in retail stores in India).

I doubt it. From my understanding, the 2-headed brahmin in the game is a bit too close to India's brahmin reverence.

The game is still available for ps3 and xbox 360 so i doubt its some legal issue. The only pc retail copy i could find is in French though... and its not goty edition.

Yeah I heard that fallout 3 was banned from India because of the two headed Brahmin, so I assumed the same with new Vegas.


Maybe they are censored versions? Like fallout 3 in Japan for instance doesnt let you bomb megaton and I think changed the name of the fatman launcher.

.so maybe fallout new Vegas is censored in India by taking out the Brahmin? And if that's the case,it may be rarer to find because of it?


I don't know, just coming up with ideas. That is lame you can't get it from steam.


But then again I heard steam store was having big problems right now (there's a thread about it in community discussion on these forums) and maybe that's why you can't buy them right now??
