Fallout: New Vegas E3 Premiere

Post » Tue Mar 23, 2010 11:45 pm

Quite simple. It's going to air at the same time everywhere (in America at least). Don't say anything because I don't actually watch the show, but as an example, American Idol airs at 8 o'clock in all time zones. It's not like football games that can start as late as 9 on the East Coast because of the time difference. Definitely have my recording set for 11 out here on the West Coast.

Is that a for sure thing? I'm on the west coast also and I thought I'd have to watch it at 8pm... or is it really going to be on 11pm no matter what time zone? I'm confused on this.

Just go to spike tv on your tv guide and see when the special begins.

Okay I have an answer for this, I watched the grametrailer E3 preview video and here is what I discovered!!

Its going to be on 11PM EST... Lightweight Nate you may want to set your recording to 9pm instead of 11pm!! Thought maybe this would help all of us and clear things up for those of us in the central and westcaost time zone. I just answered my own question :homestar:

Eastern: 11PM
Central: 10pm
Pacific: 9pm

That's not always the case. Some networks offset their Pacific and Mountain affiliates from the Central and Eastern affiliates by an hour to prevent prime time from being too late for people to stay up in the Eastern time zone. So, something that's on at 8pm in the Pacific time zone would be on at 9pm in both the Mountain and Central time zones, and 10pm in the Eastern.

Read my posts, it explains the situation and shows the screen shot of that it is confirmed that its going 11pm eastern. Its not the going to be aired at the same time everywhere.

Right, so most likely it will be at 8 PST, 9 MDT, 10 CDT, 11 EST.

I think that's correct I forgot to consider mountain time zone... So yeah pacific time zone would be 8pm not 9pm. Thanks for the correction :D

Well America has different time zones becuase of how the sun rises and sets. It all started when America first implemented trains and the conductors noticed that the sun sets and rises at different times in different parts of the country. Or something similar to that, all I know it started with the train system.

What? The countdown on their website says, it's still 5 hours away ...

You've all got your timezones wrong.

Then I guess the countdown is for when they put it on their website.

That's what I was talking about. The 5 hour countdown is probably for when it'll be on gametrailers.com

Guess I'm staying up until 3 a.m.

Can anybody upload it youtube? It'd be greatly appreciated, or if nobody can or is willing to, I guess somebody will. I'll give it about half an hour before it's uploaded.

I've argued things with you before but this my friend I can agree with you on Fallout New Vegas is the only reason we should be tuning in unless there's a surprise TES V announcement but given the known info that'll never happen :(
