Fallout: New Vegas on PC Question

Post » Tue May 25, 2010 7:52 pm

so got a quick question about Fallout: New Vegas on PC. As Fallout 3 was GFWL, it allowed people to get achievements, etc, and allowed the game to be used on multiple accounts. I honestly don't care about achievements, but me and my brother love the fallout series. now recently bioshock 2 was released and was also GFWL, but with new GFWL games, the cd key is locked to one gammertag, meaning only 1 person can play the game...

Is fallout new vegas going to be GFWL and lock the game to gamertags, as Bioshock 2 did, or will it be GFW and allow the cd key to be used more than once, and not locked to a single account. retail stores show the box art as GFW, but this site says GFWL which may just be from fallout 3. does anyone have any idea how this game will work activation wise?

thanks

The game will be on steam, therefore only to one account per cd-key.

Yep. Once you activate it on that account, it is locked there. However, you can download it on any computer you want, so long as you are on the same account, and the account isn't logged on elsewhere.

It uses steam, which means each CD key is tied to one account.

No, with Steamworks it is indeed what can be called a "full Steam game". Achievements, DLC distribution, this stuff.

As a number have posted already, it uses Steam. We have a thread open for that discussion:
