Fallout: New Vegas Radio DLC?

Post » Sat Jun 05, 2010 8:01 am

We all know and love Fallout 3, especially the music. The music is one of the most things that made it enjoyable. Even the songs in New Vegas are good :) But what if Bethesda made a song or radio DLC to buy or free to download to add songs from Fallout 3 to New Vegas. That would be amazing to have all the songs into one radio, or to have a separate radio like add the GNR radio as a separate station and get all the news of whats going down from there. Hope Bethesda see this and considers it :) And i hope you guys like the idea too :D :tops:

There is a radio mod that adds GNR's music to RNV. You just have to extract the songs from your Fallout 3 bsa for it to work.

Though for consoles I think it would be a cool DLC.

I think it'd be great if it was free, bethesda already has the songs, all it would require is a quick port. All in all, it probably won't happen, and GnR is about the only reason F3 gets any love from me anymore.

I grabbed the songs from FO3 and added them via a Radio Extender Mod. Easy. If you don't have a Radio Extender (console), then just grab the mp3 from Fallout 3 and burn them to disk and play while you're playing. Easy. (although not very legal probably)

Something like that definitely wouldn't be free. Bethesda only licensed them for one game, so they'd have to pay to use them again.

Liscensing is a major one, also relating to the so few radio music variance in New Vegas. Even the sound guy commented on it in an interview, saying Beth's own next Fallout will probably have more.

I'd rather they not randomly shove in FO3 music.

On the other hand if they got Wayne N. And whoever plays Tabitha to come in and record lines saying they've found new pre-war records and they add brand new oldie songs fitting New Vegas into the station that's acceptable.

Of coarse that's if they shove it into a major DLC.

A radio pack dlc would be pathetic and just asking for nickel and diming.

I'd rather not Beth and Obsidian became the new EA, Activision, and Ubisoft.

Selling you back 1/4 to half the game that should be on the disc.

While Obsidian ripped out Ulysses and maybe even Graham and I'm not happy about it their not on EA's level.

Let's not give them a reason to. No small miscellaneous packs.
