But that may be the amazing thing about him - he may have few resources, but he knows how to work behind the scenes and nudge things in a way that makes things go his way ... :shifty: . Besides, it's possible that while he lacks manpower, he has plenty other resources.

Like money.I'm sure he could get a group of gunslingers or snipers to work for him.

That, too. After all, sometimes you don't need an army - you just need a bullet between the eyes of the right person and suddenly things will be much more favorable for you...

After much reading and browsing... House basically owns New Vegas, has an entire casino for his house, and seems to be the type to order assassinations and cause corruption in heaven itself. I dislike the army of robots though, always preferred real soldiers. If i go with house.. then every typical Mafia like and vegas style faction shall be my friend. I know im gunna have like 5 playthroughs, and have even more hours into this game than Fallout 3.

I will be a lone Commonwealth soldier out in the Mojave. My faction will prevail via the power of our humongous imaginary army!

...And if that doesn't pan out, NCR all the way.

I wouldnt call Mr. House corruption or evil or any other word to insinuate an 'evil' idea of him. The way I've come to view Mr.House is that he is neither inherently good or evil, but rather, he runs New Vegas, he seems to have no interest in world conquering, or being a complete [censored] to anyone, he's just a businessman, and wants to see to it that his assets are not harmed in anyway. Which is pretty much how I like to live, so it'd be like two peas in a pod. :foodndrink:

I completely agree, if you listen in the video. It says that he doesn't want NCR to win because then they could ruin his business and take over The Strip. It's not like he want's to conquer all and kill everyone like President Eden. I knew if I had two factions that were threatening to take over my money making machine then I wold try to take them down too.

I didn't mean to paint him as evil. I put him more in the category of oldschool organized crime.
He simply puts his wealth to good use. I moreso meant he could sweet talk (and butter up with money) Jesus himself into turning the other way.

But, both Jesus are dead by now. I made sure of that in New Reno.

@WOOtz I wouldn't call it organised crime. Just disposing of those who seek to take over

Exactly, like organized crime he simply makes the people who seek to interfere with his business "go away"

dont burst my little bubble.

they have good intentions though. and are a lighter shade of grey then the legion

From what we know, at least. Even if you're getting that from FO2, groups can change in policy and such when time passes by-and plenty of time HAS passed by.

And I could be wrong, but I would think quite a few people would be a lighter shade of gray than Caesar's Legion-considering it involves massive slavery, with the slaves being forced to fight in combat for the ones who enslaved them in the first place. Though, then again, this is Fallout-so I'm sure I'll be proven utterly wrong in that.

Hey it's a cruel world that's hard to make it big in. He certainly seems to have made quite an achievement by getting The Strip up and running AND making tons of money on all of the games. Hey, I would "protect" my achievement too. :shifty:

So then either we:

1. Help the NCR to become the major power in the region.

2. Help Caesar's Legion to becoem the major power in the region.

3. Help Mr House and thus maintain/reinforce the status quo in the area?

Lets see this is my theory House fears Legion and also doesn't want NCR to take over because they will stop his moneymaking schemes but House is probably corrupt and wants as much money as possible.

I think what I'm going to do my 1st playthrough is start out with the legion, then take out NCR and lastly I'll figure out which one would give me the better reward out of House or Legion. Either way the NCR gets taken out.

NCR? Caesars Legion? All chumps.

Mr. House is the only logical choice Mumatil. You must join us. :disguise:

After hearing the first words of Rene for Mr. House I decided he is the man for me the first playthrough :celebration:

Well you must have gotten 10 Charisma at the Character creator. Sadly, I only got 5. I'm AVERAGE!

@DarkLord Seems like it to me. (Arnold impersonation) I pick number 3.. I was elected to lead, not to read.

If we go it alone, does that mean we can claim the Lucky 38 and Hoover Dam for ourselves?

It would make for a nice power trip.
