I'm with NCR, I have to support my home state.

Down with Ceasar!

I agree, with at least one of my playthroughs.

I see a total,at the very least, of about 4 playthroughs.
1.Working solo while messing with each faction
2.Working with House
3.Working with the NCR
4.Working with CL

Definitely loving the options here, so painfully missing in FO3 and it's auto BOS recruitment.

Replay value, thy name is awesomeness.

The BoS are now a minor faction in NV.They won't play a big role but you might be able to help them out with some quests.

Go play Fallout 1 2 and 3 if you want the BoS so much I'm sick of them really. I'm so glad BoS and Enclave play very minor roles in NV.

I concur.I liked them at first but I'm getting bored of them now. They seem...too overpowered with their advanced technology to use.

I like the how the factions are working out, but did anyone notice how the M16 had no recoil? It looks very odd and its really bugging me. It just doesn't look like they've completed the game. I might be overreacting but I just don't want another KoTOR 2.

The recoil goes to the right I believe. (Do correct me if I am wrong.) And watching the video over, the gun is going to the right, either that or that is the sway of the person using the rifle.

me and The Kings will take over New Vegas, within mere weeks at least 90% of residents will be wearing greasy wigs, playing the guitar and doing the patented pelvic thrust!

...but in all seriousness i can not wait for this game, just over 11 days & counting!!!

Interesting to say the least....his voice acting sounds really good though.

Spoiler
pretty good for a ZAX

And I really hope you can destroy him through a password or something like that.

You shouldnt notice much recoil in the firing animation of the m16 because its recoil is pushing directly back wheras on an ak its pushing up. Thus an m16 is far easier to keep on target. Also of course the bullet is much smaller and less powder is used so again less recoil.

ST:DS9's Odo, makes an awesome voice for Mr. House. :)

But now the real question, which of the 3 major factions should I back? Since they are all supposedly "gray", I guess I'll have to play though the game to see which ones I'm most fond, but I'll probably wind up backing Mr. House in my first play through and hopefully I can stay "friendly" with NCR...

My plan is to just go with my gut as it progresses. I'm thinking it might end up being Mr. House.

ok, I don't know if anyone already brought this up somewhere in this thread but there was no mention of the Brotherhood of Steel in the video diary, obviously they should have at least a small tiny role in Fallout: New Vegas, like a small outpost or something. What the Hell!

Its already been stated that they have a small presence that the player might not even find.

So at the end of the video, one of the dev guys said you don't even have to back a faction, that you could basically 'rule vegas' or what not for yourself, can anyone expand on that?

Well you must have gotten 10 Charisma at the Character creator. Sadly, I only got 5. I'm AVERAGE!

To bad Strength is my dump stat.

(The irony is in Fallout 3 atm my stats are 7766777 ATM. (I'm a 'balance' freak XD)

Dawww, no mention of the Brotherhood, even as a minor faction? Killing me, guys. :P And just a "tiny presence"? Q_Q You sure about that? Because there is that Brotherhood companion, and it wouldn't make a lot of sense for her to be ridiculously hard to find if she's one of only 8 companions in the entire game.

Welp, guess I'll still be playing a lot of Fallout 3 as well in the months to come. Never did like T-51b anyways.

Great vid though, can't wait for New Vegas! The enhanced faction interaction is gonna be great. I guess I might go with the NCR if the Brotherhood isn't really an option, but I'll probably just end up fronting for one of the sillier smaller factions that grabs my interest. I don't like the aesthetics of NCR, Caeser's Legion is badass but evil so that's a no-no, and I'm "meh" overall on House.

If it turns out Caesar's Legion actually IS gray like the others and not decidedly more evil, I'm theirs in a second. Absolutely LOVE anything to do with Ancient Rome.

I can't see slavers as morally grey. Plus CL seems purely motivated by power, now if it was an Ismael Ashur deal, MAYBE. But slavers+power hunger= I dont see the 'grey' there.

On a side note- I'm gonna start punching people who call Mr. House a money stealer. He RUNS the strip, you dont HAVE to go there, you're CHOOSING to go there. losing that money in hopes of winning more is your fault, not his. :cryvaultboy:

Maybe their ultimate goal is better off for everyone?
Maybe by collecting all humans into his army he forces everyone through fear to align themselves to them.
And by that they can restore peace to the wasteland by force instead of trying to sweet-talk to a raider or come to a peaceful solution.

So that once Caesar controls it all he dictates over the people, and through fear, execution and torture he will rebuild the world.
The actions they take will be considered evil for the time, but if he were to rebuild the world and unite the people under one government.
Then wouldn't Caesar have been the good guy in the end?
Sure a lot of people died but they actually restored the world from its former chaos and anarchy.
That's my speculation of it.

House just seems like a greedy selfish [censored] IMO.
And NCR is clearly falling apart IMO.
