Fallout 4 night vision, heat vision, zoom, implants, etc

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 3:26 am

Should Fallout 4 have this and how should it be implemented?...also should these also be allowed through implants, just gear, both, or not at all? I think these should be put in game...what do you guys think?

It would be cool to have some gear that would do night vision like the night scope for the varmint rifle in NV

New Vegas style implants would be fine, but what you're talking about is a little too much, we aren't superman.

I liked the idea of implants in FONV. It was fun having something high value to work for that wasn't just another gun or armor (if I recall, they where purchaseable perks). However I think stat boosts should have been handeld either by the snow globes or a bobblehead system and implants should have been more along the lines of the Menein, GRX, and phoenix instead.

Well I take that back. Power armor should have night vision and probably heat

Another thing solved by mods, a certain modder did it with F3, FNV and Skyrim (called predator vision there), so he might add it in F4, too. I hope at least, his mods are great :3

New Vegas had Night Vision modes for a few sets of armor. The Riot Gear in Lonesome Road, and the Hazmat suit. And as far as armor goes I'm all for it. But implants. Maybe only nightvision anything else and I wouldn't really like it.

Fallout New Vegas mods had these things. I'd like to see them put into fallout 4. Perhaps running on microfusion cells.

Holding the pipboy button could activate your pipboylight/goggles/flashlight (whatever you've selected for your hold pipboy button function)

Maybe certain implant vision abilities could use vats points.

I'd like night vision but then it would need a good setting to use it in

It never gets dark enough at night to need night vision.

They had the drug Cateye in FO3 and FO:NV which lasts 2 minutes for low light vision. As others have mentioned, there was also some gear in the DLCs which gave you low light vision also. Most optical sights have zoom as well.

Ooh, also friend of the night perk in New Vegas. I definitely wouldn't want perma predator vision though.

Heat/infra vision to see through walls in stealth builds would be cool.

I also think implants should be more interesting than +1 to a Stat. Especially considering the whole android/MIT theme.

It'd be nice if these types of things were included in the game without having to wait for mod support to add them in. Doing a high-tech / Power Armor style playthru can be really enhanced by the use of these types of things in my experience.

It would be cool if you could put that night scope on any rifle or long energy weapon.

And I bet you can in F4!

The Institute is fully capable of creating indistinguishable synthetic humans. Cybernetic implants are reasonable.

Sure, why not. With the new fluid FPS controls, thermal vision plus running through metro systems will make it feel like Battlefield 4 and I can't wait, my dudebros!!
